The best thing to hold onto in life is each other..
(Me: Plz…)

The village blacksmith finally found an apprentice willing to work hard for long hours. The blacksmith immediately began his instructions to the lad, "When I take the shoe out of the fire, I'll lay it on the anvil: and when I nod my head, you hit it with this hammer."
The apprentice did just as he told. Now he's the village blacksmith.

Man to wife: "My boss values loyalty and devotion above all else. Our new intern is a cocker spaniel."

Fact of the matter..
During seahorse mating, the female deposits unfertilized eggs into the male's brood pouch. The male seahorse then fertilizes the eggs with his own sperm, initiating a three-week pregnancy that is marked by an inability to move around and search for food.

Is your dad in the defence? You're such a bomb!
(Me: yep, to bomb u out..)

Weird world..
No rest for the dead with surround-sound coffin.
Stockholm: A man has designed a $30,700 coffin with built-in speakers linked to a music playlist that can be updated by the living. Music store owner Fredrik Hjelmquist said his hi-fi coffin will entertain the dead and provide solace for grieving relatives. He himself plans he should be buried in such a coffin, he added, and has chosen opera for his long sleep.
(Me: hmmm. This physician believes in healing thyself..).

Further news on the case where a rapist who was exonerated and discharged by a High Court commits a similar grisly crime – raping and killing the victim..
1) "HC slams trial court, prosecution and police for not following rules"
2)"Hang my husband: Rapist's wife"
3) ToI's view: Severe indictment of how sensitive cases are handled. The HC's acquittal should be read as a severe indictment of the investigations… blah-blah.
Comment: The judiciary in the land is the holiest of holy cows and anyone commenting about its functioning – let alone criticizing it – is often hauled over the coal for contempt or whatever. But then, the aam janta who elects the government and foots the bill of the judiciary and all civil servants have a right to ask: what is and what should be the single-most purpose/aim of a judicial system – delivering justice or finding out with a prosecution presentation and letting off a hardened criminal? Did the tax-paying public ever say or insist that we want a western, communist, Arabian or XYZ kind of justice-delivery system or they want a system, ANY system, that delivers its promise of expeditious justice? How come the learned judges went by the letter of the law and not its spirit? Instead of passing the buck, the judiciary should introspect and tell the public what steps it has initiated since Independence, in order to speed up justice delivery.
2) The wife has a lot more sense and wisdom.
3) The paper, for all its much-touted claim of being the largest circulated daily and most profitable one, too, in the whole world, gives out the usual washy-washy solution even as it lambasts the usual whipping boy, law-enforcement machinery.
