THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Desire is never extinguished by the enjoyment of desired objects; it only grows stronger like a fire (fed) with clarified butter." - Manu DHARAMA SHASTRA

Pillow talk!
What's the best kind of pillow to sleep on?
Fluffy pillows angle the head forward and can put a kink in the neck. For this reason, thinner pillows tend to work better than fluffy.
(Me: Means, polyurethane foam pillows seem to be the ideal, as they are neither too soft as ordinary foam ones nor too hard as the cotton pillows)

Bowl of $3 goes for @2.2 million at auction of Chinese relics.
New York: A rare Chinese bowl bought for a mere $3 at a garage sale in 2008 in New York was sold for a whopping $2.2 million at an auction here. The 1,000-year-old "ding" bowl from an era when the "Song Dynasty" ruled China was bought for $3 and displayed it on a mantelpiece with no idea as to its real worth. The auctioneers, Sotheby's sold it to a London dealer, Giuseppe Eskenazi. The bowl is 12.5 centimetres, white in colour and is from the Northern Song Dynasty. Eskenazi, recognized as one of the most important dealers in Oriental art in the world, entered into a "prolonged" fight with three other collectors. Sotheby's said Song ceramics are increasingly being sought after by Chinese art collectors.
(Me: Many of these antique art collectors are filthy rich weirdos and relish sinking fortunes to possess and show off such not-so rare or not-so eye-catching pieces to fellow-nuts)

A woman went to the police station with her next-door neighbor to report that her husband was missing. The policeman asked for a description. She said, "He's 35 years old, 6'4", has dark eyes, wavy hair, an athletic build, weights 75 kgs, is soft-spoken, and is good to the children."
The next-door neighbor protested, "Your husband is 5'4", chubby, bald, has a big mouth, and bad temper."
The wife replied, "Yes, but who wants HIM back?"
