Bohemian style weddings are always a favorite. And the free spirit and laid-back boho vibe in this shoot designed by Alex Swinney and photographed by Laura Barnes Photo is simply divine! From Alex the designer: "One of my favorite styles is easy and laid back, the thrown together kind of look. So I thought, a bohemian would be a perfect fit since it's such a go with the flow feel. So I incorporated that into the ceremony style, using different size logs and stacking them with some candles and florals to create a stunning ceremony backdrop. Also, with the floral arrangements, I didn't want it to look structured. Rather I was going for more of a bunch you could pick yourself. I wanted to incorporate a pop of color into the neutral landscape, and the bright pinks seemed to be screaming for me to choose them. They worked well off of the bare trees and into my table scape. I wanted to create a table with ombre and watercolor effects but also have the feel of a modern wedding. So I decided to dip dye the runner and napkins, but use gold flatware and crystal drinkware." From Laura, the photographer: "Alex is a sweet past bride who created her dream wedding for her 2015 nuptials. Now she's exploring the wedding scene and finding her style as a planner. So it was wonderful teaming up together for her first ever styled shoot. She assembled a fantastic team of vendors and the day was incredible. It was so fun to watch the entire planning process unfold while connecting with new vendor friends. We wanted to show off the venue with a new unique style and pops of the color pink. Our sweet models are a real life couple that are getting married in July. My favorite detail from the day was the estate table. I loved all the colors and textures."
