[www.keralites.net] For your safety in the kitchen..

 


 
This is about an episode that happened last month in Pune. This may be a good, useful lesson in safety for all of us to remember.

The gas stove was on, cooking was in process. The lady of the house suddenly saw a few cockroaches near the sink, and grabbed a can of insect repellent and sprayed it near the gas stove, which was burning,  to get rid of cockroaches.
 
There was an explosion, and in no time the innocent woman was covered in flames, sustained 65 % burns. Her husband rushed in to save her, tried to douse the flames and his clothes too caught fire. The husband is still in hospital, in the burns ward, still unaware that his wife had succumbed, dead on arrival.
 
Insect repellents such as "Hit", "Mortein" etc. Are they inflammable? I guess they are, and the nano-particles spread extremely rapidly.
 
Did the poor lady realize the hazard involved? Apparently not!
 

Spread the word around….

 
Don't use any inflammable pest repellents in the kitchen when the burner is on.

It is indeed very unfortunate that the Idea Star Singer continues to be farce.First of all, when u call aprogramme for singers, u should not allow diversions like dance, dabbam koothu etc helping the weaker contestants to cover up thier follies.; it should be purely music alone; look at the similar programmes in other channels- they do not even recognise malayalam as as alanguage which could give any good songs at all; though we should not stoop so low-we must also encourage more songs in malayalam only and restrict other languagaes like tamil/ hindi etc to a a few rounds; the candudates should all belong to a similar group ie if u are finding young talent all contestants shoulkd be amateurs and not like Senior artistes lke Kalpana , the sponosored.She had put up a horrible performance but was allowed a repreive in consideration of her tricks with tears etc;; etc. Pleasze think of the real amateur participants who also would have pleaded for a repreive when they put up a lack-lustre performance in a single episode.they also would have made u p to reach and win the finals. It is anyway good that this time they ignored SMS and went for judge's decision.But unfortunately the judges were highly intimidated by the American slave Yesudas.Unfair! In the past they had played dirty with SMS and overshadowed ther judges. Let them always depend on judges- that too with no prompting from the likes of Yesudas. use SMS onle for statistics and to measure the deviation in the judgements of the judges and the people.
Talking of American slavery- it is an unfortunate curse on Indian vbrain and talent.Remember Pandit Ravishankar the renowned Sitarist.Nowadays he is not seen or heard as he is working as a slave by playing the junior accompanist of the US experimentalist.Yesudas also is known to have started such petty roles. Good to praise your masters , slaves but do not change change your parents!

I have different opinion on this two mails.....
 
What Gangadharan said is right, kalpana had a peculiar face expression at the time of judgment…..But the narration about that, it's all about perceptions I believe…When you quoted it as Selfishness…hatred…I feel it as her complete nervousness and tension expressed on her face……
Ultimately all contestants in Idea star singer is not coming for devotional love to music???All final target is to win prize? Publicity??TITLE?? Can u accept sir?
Y idea star singer have more contestants ??bcoz the prize money is very high????
Right?? So who is not selfish……
 
 
And to Kalpana…her necessity was more…..not like others…for them its win or lose in a big music competition..but for kalpana..it was her target…She want money, she want home….she clearly expressed her struggles many time……that she want to win coz she want her daughter to be secure. Its obvious for any contestant to be very nervous, when they are one feet away from judgment..But mridula is cool in nature, and she was able to handle it….but to Kalpana, she treated the prize more than and she indeed made a very bold attempt of music in final rounds??right? so let her win…….y such comments??
 
And One important things to Naina also….
 
Malayalis might be  matured, brilliant than other states, but have you noticed the fact that our music and film never gain popularity in other states like we hear Tamil or other language songs??? Here.... be thankful to Kalpana…she came…she tried to sung our good Malayalam songs…she took some songs to Chennai too…….now Tamil people listen and know more about music in Malayalam…., Tis all hapened only coz one Tamil girl gave an attempt to sing in our malaylam program??? So is Kalpana done wrong or good?and indeed she entertained us???
Idea star singer always gave marks for performance too?
can you tell its 100% music show??
No......Its music+performance show....acting skills gives you marks?? Am I right??
 
Personal gain and selfish is for all of us Gangadhar….only the intensity varies…..For Kalpana, she want to win, no other choice to save her life from troubles. So understand….her facial expresiions showd her nervousness...
 
And now about the logic of sms????
Y people msging to contetants ??all msgonly for good songs??
 
I know the contestants requesting all village, all school, all college mates to sms? Though they like the song or not, they will sms for their place contestant? so y kalpana got less sms? Bcoz she is not from kerala? only reason is that i will say..
 
So SMS is to Song??? Or to contestant??
 
We had an efficient panel of judges..so let the marks decide? Y sms??
And sms marketing? Yes..if u msged its bcoz u dint understand the branding techniques..u lost.. :-)
 
When am speaking this much…don't doubt me as "Chennai spy" of Kalpana.. :-)
 
Am a girl from Mridulas place, now am in Chennai and am happy Malayalam songs spreading  here thru Kalpana…..
 
To be truthful  .loving Mridulas sweet voice  and maturity more than the winner…but expressed my opinions..

What my frined written below about the SMS is right , if the judjement is according to the judges then why repeateldy asking the SMS  and who ever send SMS for their favoirate singer they become fool more over waste of money by sending SMS  , Kalpana she become popular only because of her acting not in her singing , in the begining she was not femilier with the malayalam words. If relly the channel want to help then more SMS is for ANTONY  . why the channel dint consider about the audience who send SMS  which help to get more money for IDEA . the least vote was for KALPANA . More over I appriciate MRIDULA about her charecter , personality till her last song. I AM VERY MUCH PROUD TO BE A KERLAITE . from the biggining it was understood that the judjing pannel will give for KALPANA  only because of sympathy . Audience send SMS for Antony for the same sympathy.but Idea who make money dind see this. any how this is a business , atlease give prizes for the needy.Immanual , akhil, deepak , Mridula , you are good singers not a actors. Belive in GOD keep on practising you will reach the distination . more over you all are well educated children which you can be proud .

കൊക്കോക്കോളയെയും മറ്റും പറപ്പിച്ച സിപിഎമ്മുകാര്‍ ഭരിക്കുന്ന കോഴിക്കോട് നഗരത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു മള്‍ട്ടിനാഷന്‍ കോഴിക്കച്ചവടക്കാരനെ തുരത്തിയതിന്റെ കഥയാണ്.മലയാളിക്ക് ചിക്കനെന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ജീവനാണെന്നാണ് സങ്കല്‍പം. വീട്ടിലമ്മച്ചി വച്ചുണ്ടാക്കി തരുന്ന കോഴിക്കോറിയും കെട്ടിയോള്‍ടെ ചിക്കന്‍ ഫ്രൈയും എല്ലാം തോറ്റുപോകുന്ന കെഎഫ്‍സി എന്നു പറയുന്ന ഫോറിന്‍ സാധനവുമായി ഇന്ത്യയിലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്ക സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ മാത്രം രണ്ടുവട്ടം ആലോചിച്ച ശേഷം തുടങ്ങുന്ന കെഎഫ്‍സി റസ്റ്ററന്റ് ആരംഭിച്ച് രണ്ടാഴ്ച കൊണ്ട് പൂട്ടിച്ചതിന്റെ കഥയാണ്.

കെഎഫ്‍സി തുടങ്ങിയതും ജനം അങ്ങോട്ടൊഴുകി.സാഗര്‍,സല്‍ക്കാര,പാരഗണ്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ നഗരത്തിലെ ചരിത്രപ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള ഹോട്ടലുകാര്‍ക്ക് ബിസിനസ് കുറഞ്ഞോ എന്നറിയില്ലെങ്കിലും കുറഞ്ഞപക്ഷം അസൂയ എങ്കിലും തോന്നിക്കാണും.ഒരേ സമയം 212 പേര്‍ക്ക് ഇരുന്നു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാന്‍ മാത്രം വലിപ്പമുള്ള റസ്റ്ററന്റില്‍ ആളുകള്‍ ഇരിപ്പും നില്‍പ്പും കഴിഞ്ഞ് പെരുവിരലിലൂന്നി നിന്നു എന്നാണ് ദൃക്‍സാക്ഷികള്‍ പറയുന്നത്.കോഴിക്കോടിന്റെ അന്തസ്സ് വര്‍ധിച്ചു എന്നു വരെ പലരും പറഞ്ഞു.വിദേശത്തുള്ള ബന്ധുക്കളെയൊക്കെ ഫോണില്‍ വിളിച്ച് കോഴിക്കോട്ടും കെഎഫ്‍സി തുടങ്ങിയതായി അറിയിച്ചു.കെഎഫ്‍സിയുടെ സഹവാസം കൊണ്ട് കോഴിക്കോട്ടെ മറ്റ് ഹോട്ടലുകളുടെ നിലവാര വര്‍ധിക്കുമെന്നു ചിലര്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചു.
എന്നിട്ടെന്തുണ്ടായി ?
ആഴ്ചയൊന്നു കഴിയും മുമ്പ് കെഎഫ്‍സിയില്‍ നിന്നു മാന്യന്മാര്‍ നാലുനേരം മൃഷ്ടാന്നം വെട്ടിവിഴുങ്ങിയതിന്റെ ഉച്ചിഷ്ടവും അമേധ്യവും ഓള്‍റെഡി പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യവിമുക്തമായ (ആ കോമഡി വേറൊരു എപ്പിഡോസില്‍ പറയാം),അടുത്തുതന്നെ സമ്പൂര്‍ണ മാലിന്യമുക്തമാകാന്‍ പോകുന്ന കോഴിക്കോട് നഗരവീഥികളുടെ വലതുവശം ചേര്‍ത്ത് ചൊരിഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി. ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ സ്ഥലത്ത് കെഎഫ്‍സി മാലിന്യം നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു എന്നല്ല,കിലോമീറ്ററുകളോളം ദൂരം കെഎഫ്‍സിയുടെ പരസ്യമെന്നപോലെ ലോഗോ പതിച്ച പാത്രങ്ങളും ഗ്ലാസുകളുമടങ്ങുന്ന മാലിന്യം റോഡില്‍ നിക്ഷേപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
കോഴിക്കോട്ടുകാരോടാ കളി.വല്ലയിടത്തും വല്ലവനും മാലിന്യം കൊണ്ടുതള്ളിയിട്ടു മുങ്ങിയാല്‍ അത് അഴിച്ച് പരിശോധിച്ച് എന്തെങ്കിലും തെളിവ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച് തള്ളിയവനെ കണ്ടുപിടിച്ച് അത് നീക്കം ചെയ്യിക്കുന്ന കക്ഷികളാണ്. ഒരു കല്യാണവീട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു റോഡുവക്കില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് തള്ളിയ വിവാഹവിരുന്നിന്റെ മാലിന്യം ഹണിമൂണിനു മുമ്പ് കല്യാണചെക്കനെക്കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ചുമന്ന് മാറ്റിച്ച ചരിത്രമുള്ള നാടാണ്.കെഎഫ്‍സിയുടെ മാലിന്യങ്ങളെല്ലാംകൂടി ഒരു ടിപ്പര്‍ പിടിച്ച് നാടിന്റെ നാനാഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു ശേഖരിച്ച് ഉച്ചയോടെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ സുന്ദരമായ കെഎഫ്‍സി റസ്റ്ററന്റിന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിറക്കി അവിടെ കുത്തിയിരിപ്പു സമരം നടത്തി.
അതോടെ സംഗതി ചൂടായി.പാര്‍ട്ടിക്കാരായി,പൊലീസായി,ചര്‍ച്ചയായി,ബഹളമായി.ഒരുമാതിരി കെന്റക്കിയിലെ പരിപാടി കോഴിക്കോട്ട് കാണിച്ചതിന് കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ കെഎഫ്‍സി അടപ്പിച്ചു,ചര്‍ച്ചയെല്ലാം കഴിഞ്ഞ് വൈകിട്ടു തുറന്നു. 48 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളില്‍ വിശദീകരണം നല്‍കണമെന്നു നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചു.കെഎഫ്‍സി കൊടുത്ത വിശദീകരണം തൃപ്തികരമല്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് കെഎഫ്‍സിയുടെ ലൈസന്‍സ് റദ്ദാക്കി, കടയടപ്പിച്ചു.ഇനി തുറക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ വേറെ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനും രേഖകളും ഹാജരാക്കണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു വിട്ടു.
സംഗതിയെല്ലാം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നെങ്കിലും മാലിന്യസംസ്കരണത്തിനാവശ്യമായ രേഖകളോ സംവിധാനങ്ങളോ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ കെഎഫ്‍സിക്ക് പുതിയ ലൈസന്‍സ് നല്‍കേണ്ട എന്നു തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ചുരുക്കിപ്പറഞ്ഞാല്‍,കോഴിക്കോട്ട് കെഎഫ്‍സി തുടങ്ങി, പൂട്ടി. എല്ലാം പെട്ടെന്നായിരുന്നു.കോഴിക്കോട്ട് കെഎഫ്‍സി ഉണ്ടെന്നു കേട്ടിട്ട് ആരെങ്കിലും എവിടെ നിന്നെങ്കിലും ടിക്കറ്റ് ബുക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ തല്‍ക്കാലം അത് ക്യാന്‍സല്‍ ചെയ്ത് നാടന്‍ കോഴിയെ തിന്നു വിശപ്പടക്കുക.കൊക്കക്കോളയെ ഓടിച്ച അത്രയും അധ്വാനമില്ലാതെ നമ്മള്‍ കോഴിക്കച്ചവടക്കാരെ ഓടിച്ചു. അത്രേയു
