 The ideal exercise for everyone is walking, for a longer, healthier life.

2. Ideal for developing long term cardiovascular fitness and improving respiratory efficiency.
3. The perfect activity for weight loss and burning away fat and unwanted calories.
II Ideal for conditioning the hips, thighs and stomach muscles.

The ideal way to beat the stress – positive approach for a healthy body and mind.

Appropriate for young and old.

Walking is cheap, flexible in time, speed and location to suit any age.

But there are some who are lazy, feel it's a hard work and put forth many excuses:
Exercise! – that sounds like hard work for me.
It seems that many people do think that exercise is too much like hard work. They may even think of it as an X-rated activity – exercise! – Something best to be avoided. This is true for many people who start out on strenuous exercise programs, injure themselves and give it all up, but if you start out with a moderate program like brisk fitness walking and build up gradually, then you will enjoy it and you won't want to give up.

Exercise! – I haven't got the time. I am too busy.
Just v20 to 30 minutes fitness walking three to four times a week will give you all the long-term fitness and cardiovascular benefits that you need, and help you keep slim. Once you start to feel the benefits, and walking becomes a regular habit, you will want to find the time to get out. Try getting up earlier on the morning to walk, walk during lunch times; walk in tour work breaks instead of drinking coffee or smoking; walk in the evening instead of settling down in a chair in front of television.

Exercise! – I need relaxation, not exercise.
Fitness walking is best form of relaxation around. It relieves stress by helping you to get away from telephones and all the noise and distractions of life, and it helps you to take your mind off your problems and rediscover an inner peace. After a session of brisk fitness walking you will feel calm and relaxed and you will want to find time regularly to get out and recapture this feeling. Indeed, studies have shown exercise such as this can lift depression and help you to sleep better.

Exercise – I'd be embarrassed.
We have all seen the ardent jogger pounding his way along the pavements, puffing and panting as though his life depended on it; and we have all seen the new jogger out with a shiny new shell-suit and training shoes – and we have thought 'rather you than me.' So why not try fitness walking? All you need is a pair of comfortable walking shoes and off you go. There is no need to be embarrassed – you are going to be walking a little faster than other people, but you will look and feel better doing it. And, in the stakes of fitness and health, you will be leaving far behind. Remember fitness walking is not a sport – it's an enjoyable exercise.

Exercise! – I'm too old for it.
You are never too old to start exercising. Provided you take into account any diagnosed medical problems and consult with your doctor first, then you can start out on a program of fitness walking and build up gradually to an aerobic conditioning program that will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Exercise! – I am too fat. I would rather diet.
You may not realize it, but you will benefit more from a regular program of exercise like fitness walking, together with low-fat high-fiber nutritious diet, than you will from dieting alone. Fitness walking will help you slim and stay slim by burning up the calories. If you burn more calories than you eat, your body will begin to use its own energy stores and fat will start disappear.

Exercise – That sounds boring.
It's not that we don't try to exercise – we do. We just give up too soon because we often forget that there are ways to make exercise fun. Studies show that one out of every two people who start an exercise program drop out within the first six months and half of those quit during the first week. This is where fitness walking scores. Fitness walking is fun. After a short time, you will feel great; have increased energy, improved concentration and heightened sense of well-being.

Health Guidelines for Mobile Users

Scientists can't seem to make up their mind about cell phones. Are they causing radiation? Yes. Is it harmful to us?

They aren't sure. However, putting all their reports together, a pattern of tips and precautions becomes clear.
The most important thing you need to know right away, is that the phone is sometimes transmitting a stronger (and as such more hazardous) signal, while at other times it will transmit very weakly or not at all. It's a good idea to know when that happens and when not, as to avoid causing possible harm to yourself. Parents, take heed, as children are the most susceptible to damage by radiation at their tender years of growth.
 
Here are some important tips to minimize exposure:

1. Keep some distance – Hold the cell phone away from body to the extent possible.

2. Use a headset (wired or Bluetooth) to keep the handset away from your head.

3. Do not press the phone handset against your head. Radio Frequency (RF) energy is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source -- being very close increases energy absorption much more.

4. Limit the length of mobile calls.

5. Use text (SMS) as compared to voice wherever possible.

6. Put the cell phone on speaker mode.

7. Use your phone where reception is good. If the radio signal is weak, a mobile phone will increase its transmission power. Find a strong signal and avoid movement.

8. Metal & water are good conductors of radio waves so avoid using a mobile phone while wearing metal-framed glasses or having wet hair.

9. Let the call connect before putting the handset on your ear or start speaking and listening – A mobile phone first makes the communication at higher power and then reduces power to an adequate level. More power is radiated during call connecting time.

10. If you have a choice, use a landline (wired) phone, not a mobile phone.

11.. When your phone is ON, don't carry it in chest/breast or pants pocket.  As it may harm your fertility or your heart.
When a mobile phone is ON, it automatically transmits at high power every one or two minutes to check (poll) the network..

12. Reduce mobile phone use by children as a younger person will likely have a longer lifetime exposure to radiation from cell phones.

13. People having active medical implants should preferably keep the cell phone at least 15cm away from the medical implant.

* While Purchasing a Mobile Handset check the SAR value of the mobile phone. It can be searched on internet if its model number and make is known.

14. The RF radiation is increased by Mobile phones when used in a car to overcome the window shielding. So try to reduce such use or stop it all together.

The Many Advantages of Using Salt

There are more than 14,000 ways to use salt, and some are still in use today. Before you are some of the best advice for efficient use of salt to resolve a number of different problems. 
Important! If you are sensitive to salt, you must consult a doctor about the proper way of using it.
 

In the kitchen, more than a flavor enhancer...

* Boiling eggs in salty water will make sure that even if the eggs break, their insides will not escape, and you will be able to take off the shell with ease.

* To check if the egg is fresh, put it in a bowl filled with salty water. A fresh egg will sink and the less fresh will float.

* Peeled apples, pears and potatoes won't blacken if you put them in cold, slightly salty, water.

* Have coffee or tea marks in your cups? You can remove them with a moist sponge and some salt water.

* Your glassware can go back to being shiny and transparent if you wash them with hot salt water and then with regular cold water.

* Using salt, you can easily clean the bottom of a burnt pot or pan - just put a thick layer of salt in the bottom, add a little water and leave the pot to stand for the night, and in the morning - boil the water.

* A combination of salt and soda will clean the fridge and remove odors.

* If you add just a tiny pinch of salt to your coffee it will improve the taste and counter the bitterness.

* If you add a tiny pinch of salt to milk it will stay fresh longer.

Salty Medicine

There is a great Russian folk medicine: In case of food poisoning - drink vodka with salt. If you don't drink alcohol - drink a few glasses of water well salted, and then try to vomit them out. (This is NOT an alternative to medical treatment!)

* In case of a cold - Drink a bit of vodka with salt.

* If your blood pressure is down, quickly drinks a very salty glass of water.

* A good way to increase the amount of stomach acids for digestion: 5-30 minutes after eating, put 1-2 grams of sea or cooking salt on the edge of your tongue. After the salt melts, swallow the salty saliva in your mouth. Such a small amount of salt won't harm you, but will cause an extra release of stomach acids.

* Salt is a great disinfectant - If you clean wounds with salt water soaked materials, they won't become inflamed.

* Granulomas of the tooth will be gone after 2 weeks of being cleaned with salt water.

* For tooth ache - Wash your mouth with salt water after every meal and before going to sleep.

* With pneumonia and strong coughing, place a washcloth soaked in salt water on the back of the person, in the area of the infection.

* Adenomas can be treated by holding down a cotton washcloth folded to four layers and soaked in salt water for 2 weeks time.

* Salt helps treat acne and boils. Use a little salt to put on a bandage and put it on the area for an hour. You can repeat the process a few times a day.

* When you have bruises, put compresses of salt and vinegar on them. They are also useful for treating headaches.

* To treat varicose veins - Use a compress of salt water on the problematic vein, and on that an elastic bandage. If you do this regularly, morning and evening, the veins will slowly return to normal.

* To treat foot fungus - Soak your feet for 5-10 minutes in a mixture of 2 table spoons of salt for evey 0.5 liter of hot water. You can add some ground garlic to the mix. Repeat this until fully healed.

* After getting stung by a bee - Smear a bit of wet salt on the stung area, it will calm down the pain and the swelling.
 
* If you want smooth, healthy skin - Before showering, rub your body with a salt stone. In addition to a cosmetic treatment, you will also gain a medical benefit, while ions of salt penetrate the skin and energize the body.

* A salt massage also helps to treat low blood pressure, chronic digestive problems, diabetes and regular colds. That said there are also NEGATIVE side effects: Open wounds on the skin, rash or Eczema are possible.
