I'm happy to say the kinds of engagement sessions we feature here on FYB all have a few wonderful things in common.
One, they're all absolutely beautiful. Two, they provide inspiration for our readers who are looking to create their own unique engagement session. And three, they all have something so special about them that we're usually left wanting more.
Such is surely the case with Lauren and Cheyne's vintage styled picnic engagement session photographed by Rachel Solomon Photography. From their outfits and styling to Lauren's makeup by Courtney Montes and the gorgeous location, this shoot was designed perfectly by Duran Events. And let's not forget Lindsay Letters and her gorgeous hand lettering.
And to top it off, isn't the light magical?

Lauren Cheyne are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. After meeting in high school, a crazy ride at the Ostrich Festival, and sticking through a long distance relationship, they knew they were inseparable! And I love this surprise proposal story! Well played, Cheyne!
"Cheyne's older brother (Jake) was graduating from NAU up in Flagstaff. They had made arrangements with family to attend the graduation ceremony. While driving back to the Phoenix-area from Flagstaff, a pit stop was made in Sedona. Lauren was under the impression, based off of the plan that was created by Cheyne and his family, that they would all be stopping in Sedona to have a nice dinner at L'Auberge Hotel, in celebration of Jake's graduation. Cheyne and Lauren made it to L'Auberge prior to the rest of the group. While "waiting" for the rest of the group in the Lobby, Cheyne asked a gentlemen working at the concierge desk to take a few pictures of them out by the beautiful creek. Lauren was SO excited, we had never really gotten the opportunity while on vacation to get pictures of the both of us together. So we both went out on a private patio that looked out onto the creek. While Lauren sat down at one of the two chairs out on the patio, Cheyne instructed the concierge gentlemen in how to use his camera. Cheyne then took a seat next to Lauren and confessed to her that he had a surprise. He continued on to say that the rest of the group would not be coming, and that we would be spending the night at L'Auberge.
Cheyne then said that he had a question and he got down on one knee and proposed! I think Lauren was more shocked than anything saying 'Really???' instead of 'Yes!' but Cheyne knew what she meant."
