 prepare a WILL.
  • It is better to make a Will at a younger age. As and when events or changes in the family necessitate changes the Will can be changed. One of the advantages of making a Will at an earlier age is that unscrupulous relatives could contest the legality of the Will made by a very old person on the basis that the person was not of sound mind when the Will was made.
  • A Will must always be dated. If more than one Will is made then the one having the latest date will nullify all other Wills. In fact it would be better to make a statement nullifying all other Wills.
  • A Will should be Simple, Precise and Clear. Otherwise there may be problems for the legal heirs. Sometimes relatives and others may try to distort the interpretation of the Will for their own benefit. It is always better to take the advise of a trusted advocate.
  • A Will can be hand-written or typed out. No stamp paper is necessary.
  • There should be an Executor of the Will who would be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that the assets are distributed according to the provisions of the Will. Sometimes more than one Executor may be required to execute the Will. The Testator (person making the Will) should take the prior consent of the person whom he or she wishes to name as the Executor.
  • A Will should be signed by the Testator in the presence of at least two Witnesses who have to attest the same. The full names and addresss of the Witnesses should be clearly indicated in the Will. It would be better if one of the Witnesses is a medical practitioner, but this is not essential. The practitioner should certify that the Testator is of sound mind (especially if the Testator is of an advanced age) and he or she should also note his or her registration number and degree (educational qualification). A Witness should not be a beneficiary of the Will. A Witness should also not be an Executor of the Will.
  • Each page of the Will should be serially numbered and signed by the Testator and the Witnesses. This is to prevent substitution, replacement or insertion of a page or pages by persons with fraudulent intentions. At the end of the Will the Testator can indicate the total number of pages in the Will. Corrections if any should be countersigned.
  • The Will may be kept in a safe place like a bank vault. The Executor and the beneficiaries should be informed where the Will is kept. It is advisable to keep a signed copy of the Will with a trusted advocate. Duplicate copies of the Will may be made, signed by the Testator and the Witnesses and kept at separate places so that if one is misplaced the other may be used.
  • Sometimes the value of certain items of the assets (example: value of share certificates) may fluctuate. In such a situation, it is better to mention the percentage of such item/s which should go to each beneficiary.
  • Whenever changes in the family circumstances or other reasons necessitate any change in the Will in the intervening period (from the time of making the Will to the time of demise of the Testator), the structure of the Will can be amended. Even if there are changes in the nature of the property or assets, an amendment may be needed.
  • For making changes only in certain clauses of the Will, a Codicil (supplement) is to be prepared which should be read in conjunction with the Will and which has the power to make appropriate changes in the relevant clauses of the Will.
  • If there are too many changes in the Will, it is better to prepare an entirely new Will.
  • It is not compulsory for one to register a Will with the Registering Authority, but in case any property or asset is given to any charitable organisation, then registration should be done.
  • A person's Will becomes operative only after his or her demise. There is no restriction in the way a person can deal with his or her property even after writing the Will.

Hands that serve are Holier than Lips that Pray

Women give top priority to grooming themselves and ensuring they are perfectly well-kept with scores and scores of help from all over the place. However, men get the short end of the stick because they're expected to not care about this stuff and be 'rugged'.
We disagree, for a machine to run well, fuel is required and for you to look good maintenance is required. We know you might be shy of openly admitting to spending time primping yourselves but this can be our little secret. Here's some makeover tips for you:

1. To Begin With:
Always keep your nails short and clean. Shoes and watches are a man's pride and you're judged based on these two things so ensure your shoes are well-maintained and polished. Find a watch that compiments you and spells classy at the same time.(We don't mean expensive but just stylish!).
2. Exfoliate:
Everyday you expose yourself to dirt and grime and simply splashing water on your face does not clean it off which results in unhealthy looking skin. Spend some time every morning exfoliating your skin to wash off all the impurities for more glowing skin. Exfoliants are readily available for your purchase.
3. Moisturise:
It's not just women that have soft skin, even your skin can retain it's suppleness if you moisturise daily after exfoliation. You can even purchase a tinted moisturiser that will give you a slightly tan complexion.
4. Exercise:
We know you have long days and lesser time to sit back and relax but a runner's high is not a myth. If you cannot devote some time to the gym at the very least wake up early for a long run, it does wonders for your body and you feel lesser lathargy. Your body looks good and when you start feeling more confident about your body, you look good.
5. Stay Crisp:
Always make sure you look sharp. Iron out your clothes always and ensure you spend a little time on dressing yourself. It's not flattering to look like a homeless person. When you're dressed well, your self esteem also peaks and it does wonders for you.
6. Jewelley:
Jewellery is not only for women but even men can carry it off if you pick out the right thing for yourself. Sometimes a simple platinum ring can easily class up your ensemble.

7. Floss:
We're not just concerned about how you look but also about your health. Oral health is vital and so please floss so you can be confident to flash that million dollar smile.
8. Lips:
It's ugly and does not reflect well on you if you're walking around with chapped, dry lips. We're not asking you to apply lipstick or shiny, flavoured gloss but just chapstick so your lips are conditioned.
9. Powder:
A little powder on those shiny, oily sweat zones will immediately make you look fresh so you can make a dapper entrance to wherever you're going.
10. Facial Hair:
If you want a drastically different look there is no other way than to chop or grow your hair. Grow a beard for a more mature look or shave off all the hair to look younger. You're the best judge of what looks best on you.

Can Stress Cause Constipation?

The Link Between Stress and Constipation

Constipation is when a person is experiencing infrequent bowel movements or difficulty passing stools. The condition is characterized by the following symptoms:
  • Passing less than 3 stools a week.
  • Hard, dry or lumpy stools.
  • Straining during bowel movements.
  • Incomplete bowel movements.
  • Painful bowel movements.
Chronic constipation is diagnosed when a person experiences two or more of the symptoms for a period of two consecutive months. A variety of health conditions can cause chronic constipation and the diagnosis requires professional medical help. However, irrespective of how often you experience constipation or how severe your condition is, there are certain factors that can increase your risk of constipation, the most well known of which are dehydration, a lack of physical activity and not having enough fiber in your diet.
There are also factors you can't control, such as age or gender, with women and older adults being at a higher risk of suffering from constipation. The last, but unfortunately not the least thing that triggers constipation is stress. Stressful situations make the different glands in our body release certain hormones, which can then wreak havoc on different systems, your gut included. The first of those hormones is epinephrine, which is produced by the adrenal glands.

Epinephrine makes the body redirect the blood flow from the gut in favor of increasing the blood supply to the heart, lungs, and brain. This is part of the so-called fight or flight response to stress. This results in worse blood supply to the gut and possibly the slowing down of intestinal movement, which can result in constipation.

The second hormone that can cause constipation is the corticotrophin-releasing factor (CRF), which is secreted in the part of our brain called the hypothalamus. Through blood, this hormone travels directly to the intestines, making them slow down and increases the risk of constipation.

Apart from that, stress can affect your gut lining, making your abdomen feel heavy or full. Finally, stressful situations are suggested to reduce the number of healthy gut bacteria, possibly because we tend to eat unhealthy when we're stressed out, which may further slow down digestion and result in constipation as well.
