Re: [www.keralites.net] It is there in GUJARAT but not in KERALA!

Dear Augustine
I just cannot understand or decipher what you are saying.

Like you I too stay in Gujarat from 1969. Gujarat's industrial dispute is not even 0.01 %.
Can you give me run down of the strikes/ Hartals etc etc as mentioned by you in an year.
You choose the year.

Come on dear I firmly believe you are not the one you are taking .... I mean staying in
Gujrat for decades

Please give me a call  on 9909704991 let us meet and discuss over a cup of coffee.

Need to know more of what you are trying to say./

The roads here are very good but of course they get damaged in rain but they are
repaired very soon unlike our Kerala.

Please when you compare compare an apple with apple not with rotton banana.

Thanks
Best regarda
Venu

Dear friend,

It appears clear that you have mastered the art of a master politician like Mr.Narendra Modi who pose questions and give readymade answers to the same without allowing anyone to express his or her own free and independent opinion. While one-time visitors like Mr.MC George and others might have been highly impressed by the situation prevailing in Gujarat, as one who has been a resident of Gujarat for over 4 decades now, I not inclined to agree with the blanket answers given by you to the questions raised by you. For your information, there are regular hartals/strikes,etc., in Gujarat too; there are damaged roads in Gujarat having pothols, students in Gujarat also indulges in frequent strikes for no valid reasons, power cuts are there in Gujarat too, there have been several instances of street fights by youth and inactions by police in Gujarat too. So, please do not mislead people by making out that Gujarat is a paradise on earth whereas Kerala is hell-like State. The most striking difference I have noted between a Keralite and a Gujarati is that while the former never lost an opportunity to criticise Kerala and rich culture, a Gujarati can never even imagine of the same but would always be grateful to his/her State wherever he/she may be.

After all, one should not forget the fact the rich traditions and culture of Kerala has only enriched him with the knowledge and competence to pass such judgements. Inspite of all media hype by the cyber force of Mr.Narendra Modi, I am of the view that Gujarat can never surpass the record of Kerala in most areas, especially that of human and social development. Any casual visitor to Gujarat travelling through the cities and national highways may be impressed, but unless one actually travels through the interiors of the State and live here for a considerable length of time, one cannot get a correct view of the prevailing scenario in Gujarat.

Many of my Gujarati friends have visited the State of Kerala and they were also highly impressed about development of Kerala and the culture of Keralites. Some of them, in fact, have already purchased properties in Kerala to settle down there. So, please try to understand that there are two sides in every story.

Dear Nair,
But please tell me the followings.
1. Does Gujarat have Strikes / hartals every month (No.)
2. Can you find youths fighting in streets and destroying public properties and police WATCHING it. (No)
3. Can you find students union striking for no reasons in Gujarat (No)
4. Is there power cut in Gujarat (No)
5. Can you find damaged roads (especially National Highways) in Gujarat (No)
Due the above and more reasons You cannot compare Gujarat with Kerala. As Kerala has it own identities which nobody (even god) cannot change.
If you want Kerala to be like Gujarat (It will remain a dream even after few generations). So better go to Gujarat.
This is my personal opinion and frustruations.
Regards
Anil

Very interesting article by Dr. MC Gearge, Advocate from Muvattupuzha, who has visited Gujarat with few farmers from Kerala. He recommends that every progressive politician from Kerala should visit Gujarat and ascertain by himself that what Gujarat Government with Narendra Mody's leadership doing there. He is creating miracles there.

[www.keralites.net] Keshav Iyengar has an IQ higher than that of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

This thirteen-year-old has an IQ higher than that of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Keshav Iyengar, a Belgaum-born boy, whose family is now settled in Cheam, London, has scored the highest score possible (162 on 162) in the Cattell III B IQ test, recognised by Mensa, the high IQ Society whose members stretch across 100 and more countries in the world.
Securing the complete score in this test is unprecedented. Keshav is now among the top 0.1 per cent having high IQ in the world. Both Einstein and Hawking are said to have had an IQ of 160.

The results of the test were announced in the first week of May. "I knew that he would clear the test. I had not expected him to top it. When I called up Mensa to find out the result, they told me it was big, that it was the highest score ever achieved till date," said the boy's mother Jyothika Punekar, speaking to Deccan Herald.

Keshav's mother holds a PhD in Aeronautical Sciences and his father is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. A student of Wilson's School, London, Keshav is now in Eighth Grade. His parents identified his special talent when they realised that he could remember registration number of cars after having seen the vehicle just once. His mother felt that he could have got the trait from his maternal grandfather in Belgaum who could remember phone numbers stretching back 30 years.

He aimed to pursue his career in software design, Keshav told Deccan Herald. As for the IQ test, he did not make any special preparations. "It is a test comprising logical questions. It is not possible to make any prior preparations," said Keshav.

Mathematics in general and Trigonometry in particular along with English language are his favourite subjects. Though he does not always top in all the subjects in school, he is among the top two or three students in his class. The student is also into Badminton and Football. Coming from a family of musicians, Keshav is a good singer too, his mother said.

He is undergoing training in Carnatic music. "In the very first few days of his music classes, he could identify nuances of the notes," said his mother.

Keshav is a very shy child and until he topped the test he did not want to believe that he had any special talent, she added.

Their roots are calling back and Keshav might continue his further studies back in Bangalore if he gets admission into any good school in the city next year. "I am not a pushy mother. I want him to have fun with academics. But I would love for him to pursue education at the IISc some day," Jyothika said.

12 harsh but effective ways to reject someone

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net
Some people just don't take no for an answer.
You've tried the polite way: you've dropped hints and ignored their phone calls, text messages, pokes, re-tweets - they're just not giving you up.
What you need is a change of tactic, you need that person to move on so you can get some peace of mind.
Stop being polite and try one of these these simple, deceitful and effective techniques.
Hopefully they'll get the message, but if they're still hounding you down after you've tried all twelve of our suggestions... you may want to call the police.
We're giving away first class InterRail tickets, lunch at PizzaExpress, tickets to Bestival, and loads more... For a chance to win click below.
  • For a chance to win go to Refreshers Wall now

1. Ignore them

2. Play dead

3. Be mean

4. Be very clear

5. Make it public

6. Make them think you're a freak

7. Introduce them to your hot friend

8. Pretend you've caught a deadly disease

9. Be gross

10. Tell them you only have one great love

11. Make fun of them

12. Don't be afraid to hurt their feelings

Because ultimately

But keep this in mind, things may turn around
