പ്രതികൂലമായ കാലവസ്ഥയെ മറികടന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൈന്യം രാവും പകലുമില്ലാതെ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുകയാണ് ജമ്മു കാശ്മീരില്‍. ഇതുവരെയായി ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം പേരെ ജമ്മു കാശ്മീരില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സേന രക്ഷിച്ചു. 18 ദുരിതാശ്വാസ ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ സൈന്യം തുറന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രളയത്തില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ 28 അംഗ പാകിസ്താന്‍ ഗോള്‍ഫ് ടീമിനേയും നേപ്പാള്‍ അമ്പാസിഡറേയും സൈന്യം രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി. ഇരുപത്തയ്യായിരത്തോളം പട്ടാളക്കാരെ ശ്രീനഗറില്‍ മാത്രം രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തിന് വിന്യസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജമ്മു മേഖലയില്‍ എണ്ണായിരത്തോളം സൈനികരെയും വിന്യസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 79 ഹെലിക്കോപ്റ്ററുകളും രക്ഷാദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.പ്രളയത്തില്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടുപോയവര്‍ക്കായി 1.5 ലക്ഷം ലിറ്റര്‍ വെള്ളവും 2.6 ടണ്‍ ബിസ്‌കറ്റും കുട്ടകള്‍ക്കുള്ള 7 ടണ്‍ ഭക്ഷണവും 2800 ഭക്ഷണപ്പൊതികളും വിതരണം ചെയ്തതായി സൈന്യം അറിയിച്ചു. കരസേനാ മേധാവി ജനറല്‍ ദല്‍ബീര്‍ സിങ് സുഹാഗ് രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നിരീക്ഷിക്കാനായി ശ്രീനഗറിലെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എല്ലാം മറന്നുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാര്‍പ്പണദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ . അസോസിയേറ്റഡ് പ്രസ് ഫോട്ടോസ്.
