How To Relieve Your Sinus Infection In 20 Seconds
Have you ever had a stuffy nose? This could be the result of a sinus infection or a cold.
You see when the lining of your sinus cavity becomes inflamed from irritations like bacteria or viruses. This causes your nasal passage to swell and create blockages making it really hard for you to breathe. While it usually takes around a week or two to clear up nasal congestion, with this remedy it may only take seconds!
How to clear your sinuses in twenty seconds
Push your tongue up against the top of your mouth and place your thumb between your eyebrows.
Using your thumb press down for about twenty seconds be sure to apply a decent amount of pressure.
This will allow your sinus passage to begin draining and clear up your congestion problem almost instantly.
Why does this work?
There is a bone known as a the vomer bone. It runs through your nasal passages and into your mouth. Pressing between your eyebrows causes this bone to rock back and forth, by doing this you loosen the congestion and allow your sinuses to drain.
DIY Foods and remedies for nasal congestion
While the technique above may not work for everyone, these foods and remedies can help dramatically as well!
1. Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Taking apple cider vinegar regularly will clear up your sinuses in roughly four days, be sure to take two spoonfuls a few times each day.
2. Turmeric
This contains curcumin making this spice a great anti-inflammatory.
By sprinkling this spice on your food you will effectively treat some of the inflammation you may be dealing with.
3. Nasal Saline Rinse
While this can be very uncomfortable,
some people rely on this to clear up their sinus problem.
This is just mixing sea salt with warm water and rinsing it literally in one nostril and out the other.
4. Oregano Oil
This is simply a great thing to ingest for sinus problems. While you can't usually get to it, if you happen to come across it I strongly suggest trying it. It will work wonders.
5. Steam
Inhale steam, this will help drain your nasal passageways as well. Just hold your head over a pot of boiling water and breathe slowly the moisture will be very helpful.

Do you follow the proper food combinations?
For instance, how many of us are aware that we should not take
fruits and milk or curd together? Ayurveda speaks of incompatible
diet combinations which may contribute to toxins and ill health. It
is my attempt to list a few food combinations you should try to
avoid.
1. Avoid eating fruits along with starchy foods. Bread, rice or
potatoes should not be savoured along with lemons, oranges,
grapefruits, pineapples, tomatoes or other sour fruits.
Fructose(fruit sugar) is digested quickly, whereas starch takes
more time resulting in indigestion and related ailments. Instead,
foods like tomatoes can be enjoyed with with protein/fat foods like
nuts, cheese and avocados.
2. Do not take cold beverages along with a meal. Always "sip" luke
warm water instead.
3. Never take milk with citrus fruits, cheese or fish. Always take
milk and melon varieties alone. Warm milk is healthier than cold
milk.
4. Avoid eating two concentrated proteins together! Theory says
that each proteins has different "style" of digestion. So, don't
eat meat protein and milk protein together.
5. Curd should never accompany egg, fish, meat etc. So forget
marinating non vegetarian items in curd from now on. Neither should
curd be cooked or taken at night.
6. Do not eat a salad with tomato and cucumber together! The
Vitamin C in the tomato gets destroyed by the cucumber. In the same
way, avoid squeezing lemon on cucumber salad.
7. If you are eating mangoes, cheese, curd, fish or starchy foods
avoid drinking hot beverages.
8. Additionally, it is recommendable to begin a starchy or cooked
meal with a green salad.
9. Fruits are always good to be taken alone.
10. Instead of curd, Ayurveda speaks about buttermilk with a pinch
of salt, pepper, curry leaves and ginger. There is no concept of
"dessert" in Ayurvedic diet.
But experts also believe that sometimes human body can get used to
such incompatible food combinations if continued for a long time.
