Goat cleared of vandalism…

Gary the goat has had his court case dismissed in Australia after a judge ruled neither the four-legged animal, who had been pulled up for eating flowers outside Sydney's art museum, nor his owner Jim Dezarnaulds could be held accountable for the crime. Jim had to pay a fine, but there wasn't enough evidence to say the animal, who had his own lawyer, was taken to the site to deliberately eat the flowers. Jim said, "I'm a comedian, I can come up with jokes, but it's hard to compete with cops coming up with this stuff."

Joke of Jan 26…!

India Unhappy with Headley verdict, will seek extradition.

Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid gave voice to the feeling (pray, whose feeling?) that the punishment for Headley was not PROPORTIONAL to the enormity of his crime in mapping the targets for the 26/11 killers. HEADLEY WOULD HAVE GOT A TOUGHER SENTENCE HAD THE TRIAL BEEN HELD HERE.

(Me: Had it been held here the case would have meandered for years, costing tens of crores of taxpayer's money. And for all you know, judging from verdicts of some most recent cases, the high-minded judicial officer would have punched holes in the law-enforcement/defense case and allowed Headley to go scot free, (as if to prove the impartiality of our judicial system to the entire world!) (2) One needn't know the onions of law to conclude that Capital sentence can awarded only RAREST OF RAREST OF CASES - actual perpetrators of very brutal crimes, now this accused was only a plotter. (3) one hasn't heard of a case in the country where an accused, howsoever serious his/her crime was, has been awarded a 35-year jail sentence).

According to our media pundits, Mahesh Bhatt and his family (now his son, Rahul has also joined in the senior Bhatt's illustrious biz) are the official commentators/spokesmen for anything and everything happening or not happening in apna desh, One would like to offer a free tip to our mediawallas, plz. also approach Musharaff, Zardari and the rest of their countrymen to offer their wisdom and thoughts on what is happening here… The Mahesh family has become the post boys, literally. Since our Indian film folks are seldom known for originality, looks he has employed an army of ghostwriters to 'compose' these comments and pass on to the media guys n gals.

Health info.

Is it possible to have a heart attack and now know it?

Yes, silent heart attacks are missed because the symptoms – dizziness, shortness of breath and fatigue – are not typical of cardiac arrest. After menopause, women's chance of heart attack including those without chest pain, rises sharply.

Those three boys are in the schoolyard bragging of how grat their fathers are

Te first one says, "Well, my father runs the fastest. He can fire an arrow, and start to run, I tell you, he gets there before the arrow."

The second says, "Ha! You think that's fast! My father is a hunter. He can shoot his gun and be there before the bullet."

The third one listens to the other two and shakes his head. He then says, "You two know nothing about fast. My father is a civil servant. He stops working at 4:30 and he is home by 3:45!

(Me: Honest-to-goodness, this is only a joke plz., and not a satirical comment on how our civil servants work…).

Newsreader plunges into canal while texting…

A newsreader in Britain was so engrossed in texting her boyfriend that she walked straight into a freezing canal, and the hilarious episode was captured on camera. A heroic passer-by, 34-year-old Neil Edington, rushed to her help as she flailed about in the water. She later called him on air and thanked him for saving her.
