At the outset "Wish you a Very Happy New Year". We survived Dec 21, 2012 and defied the doomsday end of the world predictions by the ancient Mayans. Many happenings in 2012 were far worse than the end of the world. We are into the final day of 2012. It has been a " year of scams, shameful/sinister acts". Never before have we witnessed in independent India such shameful greed, criminal acts and sarcasm that defies basic respect for each other. The brutal assault and inhumane treatment of a young lady have left deep scars on everyone of us who watched with utter shock. The State guarantee of living safety, basic fundamental rights and assured belief of being provided adequate protection from those in power are now being seriously questioned after nearly 65 years of independence by even those in urban India. It is tragic that we easily forget that life is a bubble and we are here for the moment. We live in great hope for a bright future and have great expectations of a better tomorrow. We pick our life's paths with care and work hard to move forward on a road which has unmarked signs on what lies ahead for each of us. Most of our selfish, egoistic and self-centered behavior is due to our ignorance of the fact that we are not here forever. We can go without any advance notice when our time is up. As humans we always tend to take more than what we need and/or demand a lot more than what we truly deserve. We seem to have lost sight of the words….COUGH…compassion, obligations, understanding, gratitude and humility. The average person is tiered of the pervasive corruption. We are now forced to cough up money for getting almost anything executed in our daily living. The greatest learnings in life happen under extreme and often horrific situations. The untold suffering, misery and pain that has been endured by many,including the daughter of India who has fought to live is beyond the comprehension of many of us. Her remarkable courage and sheer will power to fight for life and ultimately succumbing is a new awakening of the ability of human spirit to fight in the most adverse conditions. May God bless her soul to rest in eternal bliss and above all enthuse a new sense of positive energy into all humans on the planet. We have had one of of our most challenging years as far as the growth rate of economy of our country is concerned. The corrective actions in our respective business were needed and compelled each of us to take tough decisions to endure tough times . The year ahead will continue to be a real challenge for all of us and in most parts of the world as well. We have to discover new ways to innovate, excel and execute our mission to create a profitable operation. It is not going to be an easy task navigating in a road without clear sign boards. However, with sheer positive attitude, strong will power, hard work, determination to succeed, persistent team effort, and SMART focus on our tasks we can reach our correct destination and reap the benefits of success. In great hope we live, and there is no reason for us to despair as who knows tomorrow may just bring us peace, happiness and loads of prosperity for all of us.
