Built in memory of the Brave Sons of India who fought in the Great war in Frace, East Africa, Gallipoll etc." Lal Chand & Sons, Delhi. Made in SaxonyPhotograph contributed by Mr. Ben Collier from the Estate of Frances Anna Goheen. She was born in Mahabaleschwar, India on 30 March 1891 to a missionary family.

Birds Eye View of Delhi Back of card says "Birds Eye View of Delhi Shahjahanabad & Jama masjid. Mosque built by Emperor Shahjahan in 1658."Lal Chand & Sons, Delhi. Qutb Minar in Delhi Back of card says "Qutub Minar. Showing the Fallen Top Story in a corner. Built by Rai Pithora and completed by Qutub Uddin and Altamash in 1220. Height 238 feet, contains 379 stairs, 99 names of Allah and history of previous kings engraved beautifully."Lal Chand & Sons, Delhi. Gopal Singh, Raja of Chamba - 1870 Photographer: Bourne and Shepherd   Gopal Singh came to power in 1870 but abdicated in 1873; he died in March 1895 at Manjir. He is credited with building a beautiful palace at Jandarighat as his summer residence.Source: British Library

Maharaj Rana of Dholpur Sir Bhagwant Singh - 1870 Photographer: Bourne and Shepherd Bhagwant Singh succeeded his father, Kirat Singh the first Maharaj rana of Dholpur, in 1836 continuing to govern under British protection. In 1869 Bhagwant was created a Grand Commander of the Star of India for his loyalty during the Uprising of 1857. He was succeeded in 1873 by his grandson Nihal Singh.
