(Me: Absolutely! Maids come dirt cheap in India, and they are employed not just by the super-rich but also by the not-so well-off. More and more of even middle-class women with well-paying outsource all their domestic chores to the bais… Middle-class Indians, both men and women are loathe to do what they consider hard domestic labour!)
