If only there was a helpline for heartbreaks! Well, now there is. One of its kind in the country, this is a website that takes care of all your break-up blues and puts you back on track in a month's time. Initiative of a Mumbai-based young entrepreneur from Odisha, breakuphelpline.com acts like a dil ka doctor and offers counselling through mails, chat and Skype sessions, phone calls and one-to-one interactions to help people get over their break-ups.

The website which offers both free and paid services has been quite a hit since it was launched in July last year having already as many as 800 users, both free and registered, from all over the country and even abroad. With a small yet efficient team of relationship managers, 25-year-old Ankit Anubhav is all smiles today for having thought of such an idea after going through a rough break-up himself.

"I had experienced a bad break-up and thus felt the need to come up with something that caters to broken hearts. Love and break-up being sensitive issues, lot of people keep it hush-hush. But with breakuphelpline, they have a forum where they can not only vent out their anger and frustrations without any apprehensions but also get motivated to overcome the rough patch in their lives,'' says Ankit, an engineer who has also worked as a radio jockey and with television as a marketing executive.

Although the website charges a nominal `2500 ($46) for registration, it assures results in a month's time. "We also have a free plan where we include only e-mail support and two Skype sessions. If it helps for a particular client, they go in for registration,'' he informs. On registering, the side-effect managers get in touch with the clients and personally monitor them through constant communication and if necessary, personal interactions based on the package opted by the client. The managers, two of whom are masters in Psychology and four more from varied backgrounds including Ankit himself, basically get the people talking as the first and foremost task.

Once the details come, then follows a pepping up process where the focus lies in diverting the mind from the break-up. "This is a part of a mini algorithm that we have developed which has almost 94 per cent success as people do end up following our suggestions," explains Ankit.

According to Ankit, though marketing such kind of a service may sound cool, it is a huge responsibility. "This isn't just about business. People who register with us know they have a friend out there ready to hear them and help them. Whatever our client wants, we try and make it happen if it is within our boundaries, be it writing personalised letters or accompanying them for movies or going out on trip,'' he mentions, adding, they have had clients in the age group of 16-55 so far.

Although at present, the team does not have an office and operates from anywhere with just their laptops and blackberries, there are plans of expansion. "In the future, we would be trying to make our services more personal by going as much regional as we could so that there is a better connect. Our foremost plan is to conduct Breakup Bootcamps where in we go to most colleges in India and educate people that it's okay to have a breakup and giving out free consultation. Also we may look at divorce counselling with acceptance of such concepts,'' exclaims Ankit, the confidence reflecting in his eyes.

So next time, a breakup spins you out of control, you know where to dump your emotional baggage. Help is just a click away.
