ലീഡറുടെ പ്രതിമ അനാച്ഛാദനം ചെയ്തു, മക്കള്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തില്ല തൃശ്ശൂര്‍: മുന്‍മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കെ. കരുണാകരന്റെ പൂര്‍ണ്ണകായപ്രതിമ രാവിലെ 8ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉമ്മന്‍ചാണ്ടി തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ ടൗണ്‍ ഹാളില്‍ അനാച്ഛാദനം ചെയ്തു. ചടങ്ങില്‍ കെ.മുരളീധരനും, പത്മജ വേണുഗോപാലും പങ്കെടുത്തില്ല. ചടങ്ങിലേക്ക് തങ്ങളെ ആരും ക്ഷണിച്ചില്ലെന്ന് പത്മജ വേണുഗോപാല്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. കെ.പി.സി.സി പ്രസിഡന്റ് രമേശ് ചെന്നിത്തലയും ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. സഹകരണമന്ത്രി സി.എന്‍. ബാലകൃഷ്ണന്‍ തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ ടൗണ്‍ ഹാളിന് കെ. കരുണാകരന്‍ സ്മാരക ടൗണ്‍ ഹാള്‍ എന്നു നാമകരണം ചെയ്തു. തേറമ്പില്‍ രാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ എം.എല്‍.എ. അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച ചടങ്ങില്‍ മേയര്‍ ഐ.പി. പോള്‍, പി.സി. ചാക്കോ എം.പി. തുടങ്ങിയവരും പങ്കെടുത്തു. പത്തടി ഉയരമുള്ള വെങ്കലപ്രതിമ 20 ലക്ഷം രൂപ ചെലവിലാണ് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചത്. കുന്നുവിള എം. മുരളിയാണ് ശില്പി.
