The recent 23-year-old medical student who was gang-raped and brutally beaten in a moving bus in Delhi, has evoked many unseen protests and surge of students seeking for women's safety, in our capital city.

Politicians irrespective of their affiliation have come out with many suggestions to enact as a law. One such is Chemical Castration. Let us understand what exactly it is.

Castration is the removal of male testes, resulting in sterility, decreased sexual desire and inhibition of secondary sex characteristics such as hair growth and deepening of the voice. Castration in humans is sometimes necessary for some cancer prevention or as a punishment or deterrent to sex crimes.
