There was a time I used to shy away from cinema halls....then I grew up watching this man on the silver screen...was carried away by the style, smile & charisma...Aaradhana, Ittefaq,Do Raaste, Safar,Kati patang,Saccha Jhuta,Aan Milo sajana,Andaz, Anand,Haathi mera Saathi....the list goes on..all hits...the classic roll of wrists,the come hither drop of eyelids, the side way smile & nod....just fantastic...
Carried away so much that...my hair style (yes I had quite a bit then) was styled like his....I remember pestering my Dad to get me the Daag style of jacket......that was the effect of RK...for that matter any celebrity can bring that effect on his/her fans...
The songs...that was the ultimate....Kishoreda...according to me suits only three people -100%....Dev saab, RK ji & Amitji....that was the supremacy in modulation by Kishoreda...and RK just carried off with elan........the dignified romance brought out by him though his films was just classy...the female fan following went crazy over this man....yes, he was the Phenomenon & India's First Superstar !!
Sad he's no more in this world......but his charisma, mannerisms & style can never be forgotten or emulated......only to be seen on Youtube....in future....!!!!! RIP...
