i would like to put a small correction on the first aid points what our friend mr.abdussaleem posted. regarding snake bite there is no benefit of giving a tight ties above site of bite; because it may obstruct the blood circulation and cause death of the end tissues. i remember a victim came to the hospital with snake bite ,tied with tight rope above his leg, he didn't have envenomation but left the hospital after amputating (cutting) his affected limb just because of the tight rope of prolonged time.
