The world's tallest Buddha statue has been completed at the Donglin Temple in Xingzi county, east China's Jiangxi province. The statue is 48 metres in height and is plated in 48 kilograms of gold. The project cost nearly one billion yuan (£107 million) and was totally funded by private donations.
