The logic is very easy

1   When the third person left 2 portion for others it was 30

    that means each person at that time got 15 each total 45 +1 for monkey

2  This 46 was the 2 portion left by the second person for others

    that means each person at that time got 23 each total 69 +1 for monkey

 

3  This 70 was the 2 portion left by the second person for others

    that means each person at that time got 35 each total 105 +1 for monkey

 

 

The total is 106

All together it had 106 Mangoes

It is like this.

First one did it like this

106 / 3 = 35 each + 1

Balance left was 70 Mangoes

Second one did it like this

70 / 3 = 23 each + 1

Balance left was 46 Mangoes

Third one did it like this

46 / 3 = 15 each + 1

Balance left was 30 Mangoes

Three friends plucked some mangoes from mango grove and collected them together in a pile and took nap after that.

After sometimes, one of the friends woke up and divided the mangoes in to three equal numbers. There was one mango extra. He give it to the monkey and took one part for himself and slept again. Next the second friend got up unaware of what has happened, divide the rest of the mangoes in to three equals shares. There was an extra mango. He give to the monkey and took one share for himself and slept again. Next third friends got up not knowing what happened and divide the mangoes in to three equals shares. There was an extra mango. He give it to the monkey, took one share for himself and went to sleep again.

After sometime, all of them got up together to find Thirty mangoes. How many mangoes did the friends pluck initially.
