"Sarve bhavantu sukhinah"
Dear All, Hari: Om, Namasthe:
"Chinmaya Sadh Gurave Namaha".
(Sunday, 10/03/2013) is Maha Shivaratri - An auspicious day to fast, pray and meditate.
Keep chanting the "Panchakshari Mantra - "Om Namashivaya" throughout the day, disallowing all other thoughts.
Keep your mind in meditative mood by having 'only' the form of Lord Shiva in His meditative pose.
Observe fasting from sunrise (say 6 a.m.) until midnight or at least until the evening "Aarati" - sunset (say 7 p.m.) - If so desired, take plain warm water at regular intervals (say every one hour) to keep you energized and also to cleanse your internal system for a healthy year ahead.
Make this and every Maha Shivaratri a day for penance, prayer and meditation for healthy body, mind and intellect (BMI), thus elevating yourself to a higher spiritual experience.
If possible, attend to bhajans or take part in group "Om Namashivaya" chanting.
Life becomes ideal, purposeful and beautiful when you gain both spiritual (subjective) and material (objective) knowledge. Both are sciences in their own rights to experience different levels of contentment. When earned collectively and put into practice you can become a "man-man" or even "superman" as in the case of our Guru-parampara.
Life is precious and beautiful. You are the architect of your own life. You can "mar" or "make" it. MAKE it and enjoy bliss within and happiness around.
With best wishes and warm greetings,
Yours in His service
Mohanan Nair
