[www.keralites.net] WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN WHEN WE PRAY?

I dreamtthat I went to Heaven and an angel was showingme around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section". Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.

Ilooked around in this area, and it was terriblybusy with so many angels sorting out petitionswritten on voluminous paper sheets and scrapsfrom people all over theworld.

Then wemoved on down a long corridor until we reachedthe second section.

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packagingand Delivery Section. Here, the graces andblessings the people asked for are processed anddelivered to the living persons who asked forthem." I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at thatstation, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for deliveryto Earth.

Finallyat the farthest end of the long corridor westopped at the door of a very small station. Tomy great surprise, only one angel was seatedthere, idly doing nothing. "This is theAcknowledgment Section, my angel friendquietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed." How is it that there is no work going onhere? I asked.

So sad," the angel sighed. "After peoplereceive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments"

"How does one acknowledge God's blessings? Iasked

"Simple,"the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord.

One question cropped up in my mind how many persons are grateful to god?

The first and fore most thing most of us forget is gratitude towards our creator. If a human being is not grateful, He does not deserve being a human.

While it is duty of the doer to do and not expect, it is expected of the beneficiary to at least return with his gestures and words, the gratitude he owes to the doer.

Even our prayers mostly are a bribe to the creator to protect our self from ill of life and to gain materially. If we have the humility to be grateful the world will exist on a happier and quieter plain--more serenity will be over the face of the earth.

Very few of us actually close our eyes and in total silence and connection to him for a few moments, thank our creator. "O! My creator for this day, for this new sunshine, for leaving me living and enjoying being amidst your creation, I thank thee.

Last but not least Be thankful for the smallest blessing, and you will deserve to receive greater. Value the least gifts no less than the greatest and simple graces as especial favours. If you remember the dignity of the Giver, no gift will seem small or mean, for nothing can be valueless that is given by the most high God.
