Why are we so enamored about God? Please start believing like rational people with a scientific bend of mind that God did not create the world or human beings. We just evolved . We dont require a concept of 'God' to do good to others. Likewise we need not get insulted when someone deliberately tries to provoke us by showing disrespect to our 'God'. There is no God in us or anywhere in the Universe. There is 'good ' and ' bad ' in us . Look for ' win' -- ' win' situations by responding ( a very pleasant activity) to the 'good' in others .
Try to discourage bad elements ( a very difficult task) by advice or uniting the good among all religions against the bad in all religions and countries. There are some people who believe man created 'God' to control the bad elements. But now the situation is just the opposite. Bad elements have captured 'God' and are trying to harm all good people. Hence we will be better off without 'god'.

I pray to God to protect me from all evils and all dangers, and I believe that the Almighty God to whom I pray for protection does not need my protection. If any person does any thing against Him, it is for Him to punish the person. If God requires our intervention to protect Him from other human beings, He is not God, he is weaker than human beings as it is the mighty who protect the weak. For this reason I despise people who kill people in the name of blasphemy and condemn the laws to protect God.
Coming specifically to the sacrilege of religious books, I heard about an incident which happened in Tamil Nadu about 30 years back. A Christian organisation used to print Bibles and give it off free or at a very nominal price. Once one person claiming to be a Christian ordered a huge quantity of Bibles from this organisation allegedly for free distribution. He collected a truck load of Bibles and transported it to Shivkasi for producing crackers (Padakas). It came to light when the truck met with an accident and the person died. This is God's justice.

You reffered Muslim community. Though I dont support their views, many a time I have felt that they are right the wy they reaxct as and when their religion is touched in a bad taste. Just think unbiased.
