ദുരിതപ്രളയം

ദുരിതം പെയ്തിറങ്ങിയ ദിനമായിരുന്നു തിങ്കളാഴ്ച. അവധിയുടെ ആലസ്യത്തില്‍നിന്നും നഗരവാസികള്‍ ഉറക്കമുണര്‍ന്നത് വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുമെത്തിയ മഴക്കെടുതിയുടെ വാര്‍ത്തകളിലേക്കായിരുന്നു. ഉറക്കച്ചടവില്‍നിന്നും മലവെള്ളത്തിലേക്ക് കാലെടുത്ത് വച്ച് ഉണരേണ്ടിവന്നവരുടെ ആശങ്കകള്‍ മുതല്‍ സ്വരുക്കൂട്ടിയതെല്ലാം വെള്ളം വിഴുങ്ങിയതിന്റെ യാതനകള്‍ വരെ ചുറ്റും. മഴവെള്ളപ്പാച്ചില്‍ ജീവനെടുത്തതിന്റെ കണ്ണീര്‍ക്കാഴ്ചകള്‍ പുറകേയെത്തി. ജീവനും സ്വത്തിനും വേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഓട്ടപ്പാച്ചിലില്‍ ഒരായുസ്സിന്റെ മുഴുവന്‍ നഷ്ടക്കണക്കുകളുണ്ട്. കണ്ണീരുപ്പ് ചാലിച്ച അനുഭവങ്ങളും....
