Neera is unfermented toddy(Kallu).It is odtained applying Lime(Chunnambu) in the toddy pot while tapping toddy.It is good for health as it is rich in Calcium and other nutrients.In Tamil it is called Padhaneer.It is sold in during summer.By tapping neera it is believed that coconut yield will increase.
