Resignation letter is literally the icing on the cake for Stansted worker as he quits job in piped message
But Chris Holmes made his a reality when he quit his job working at Stansted Airport.
Instead of sending a regular resignation letter or email, he ICED his message on the top of a cake in a two hour marathon effort.
After posting the image on his personal Facebook page and was picked up and posted on Reddit, quickly going viral (see more resignations that caught the internet's imagination here).
Chris said: "I think my colleagues enjoyed the sentiment - but they were reluctant to cut into it.
"It's definitely the most text I've had to put on a cake - it's a bit scrawly! I wasn't expecting it to get so much publicity.
"I had to delete a couple of words as I was going along to get it right but it wasn't too bad."
Chris, from Sawston, Cambridge, has built up his cake-making business over the last three years but decided to make it his full time job after the birth of his son Ben on March 7.
