Re: [www.keralites.net] Gujarat and THE MODI..!!

Dear Sir,
I am a Malayalee left Kerala in 1963 and spent 22 years in Jamshedpur(Earlier in Bihar and now in Jharkand), spent another 27 years in Chandigarh, capital of Punjab and Haryana and adjacent to Himachal, and had opportunity to interact with people from different states of  India.  There are good as well as bad people every-where. You must have come across some people and had bitter experience. So it is requested  not to generalise  and say that  all malayalees are bad.  It is not fair to say such things by a person who is born from the wombs of a keralite woman. Forgive me  if my views  hurt your sentiments.

KERALA CAN NEVER BECOME GUJARAT STYLE...The very mindset of the average Malayalee is corrupt.  we have been taught things like  'nammal koyyum vayalukalellam... nammudethakum painkiliye"....So right from childhood,  you have a longing for other persons property/assets. A craving for some other man's goods....also giving this criminal craving, an aura of timid sanctity.

An eminent businessman from Mumbai once, about 30 years ago ,  told me that "Kerala is a "Beautiful land" given to dogs by dirty politicians"....so very true...I  never understood its meaning then... Now I feel that the man was right....absolutely right.

With all the political parties vying with each other for a chance to disrupt the smooth flow of human life in kerala....this state has no chance to grow up....The only competition between the bureaucrat and the politician here is for corruption....The only place where you see the malayali  in a decent posture is while standing in queue  in front of the liquor shop... No chance......kerala can never ...ever come close to Gujarat.

Though I  sincerely wish that  we become like Gujarat as far as development is concerned....Let me hope for the best....

Hi, Hello

For Kerala to improve, develop and industrialise
we should change the "Samaram for everything" mindset.
Do you think only Keralites fight for money. No, it is not
true.  One need not go to Gujarat to learn the art of
doing business.  There are many Keralites who are in
business already in most parts of the World .
In India it has become a fashion to prop up people
(without realising why they are doing it - just because
others do it) and put them on a  pedestal only to bring
down later after seeing the true Colours.  Gujarat has been
a developed State even much before the incumbent assumed office
and all he has done is to take it forward.  Everyone
talks about  his kind development but what is
that development noody spells out.Spadework for development
was done by the late Hitendra Desai and others. In any event, any State
with Ports, Water,Electricity,Power will see definite
Industrialisation and development.. Gujarat has all this in
abundance after the Narmada Dam!!!!!!!!!!!

The other side is that there is no commu thoughts in Gujarat like in kerala.  There is no bursha , facist or american agenda to pin  point. Other difference is that when a gujarati gets money he multiplys it by starting a small or big business subject to his financial limits. But when a keralite gets money he builts a huge mansion , buys the latest car showing off ( By doing this he is creating oportunity for his near and dear ones to fight for the money he leaves behind after his death ) . Another reason for the keralite to build a house is beacuse of the lack of good people in case he  starts a business. In Gujarat there are plenty of manpower available. Even then due to large opportunities in huge industries comming up in Gujarat , there are thousands of keralites and other south indians working , settled there. You ask the keralites there and they will tell the fact. There are lots of keralites who made it big in Gujarat. The kerala NRI must meet Mr.Modi and discuss the ways for their investments in that state. You have lots of things to learn from Gujarat and Modi.  It is a shame that we tell that we keralites are highly literate and our GDP , per capita income is more than Gujarat etc. and wander to other states for making a living. What kerala does not have ?  It has a big accessable coastline . 3 international airports ( 2 more comming up) , plenty of manpower, water and other sources. Yet our govt is not able to utlise these resources in a proper way to make kerala a prosperous state. Take the case of agriculture. Rice , milk , meat ,vegetables and even textiles is comming from the other states. There is huge demand but no self production. The UDF/LDF ruling in turn must change . A third front must emerge to change the face of kerala.
