A look at where Mayawati spend public money Who doesn't remember Mayawati's garland made of money? Or the lavish park she constructed in Noida? And if you thought that her defeat in the UP elections, would mean fewer tales of her indulgence coming to light, think again. An RTI has revealed that the BSP Chief spent over Rs 86 crore of public money to renovate the official bungalow given to former Chief Ministers. The house sprawls over 5 acres of prime land in Lucknow's Mall Avenue, and is guarded by 20-foot-tall walls made of sandstone. The house also includes a bullet-proof verandah, a huge statue of herself and the party's symbol, the elephant. Here are some pictures of her indulgences in the past.
