Hi Aneesh,

Buy some magzines regularly like "Veedu" by Manorama, 'Ente Bhavanam" by Madhyamam (Its really good) etc...from today and at least till your construction is over. You will get many many ideas by experienced persons.

Then Manorama has released a book "chelavuchurukke engine veedu paniyam" 2 years before worth around Rs100/-Buy that also

Make a plan considering all your requirements. Discuss with family

Then search for a good contractor nearby. Discuss with him thoroughly, meet some of his previous clients compulsorily to know whether that guy is good or bad will keep his word and constructions in time etc

Take much time while preparing your plan. Dont show hurry never in this stage...

After finalizing plan proceed fast.

According to my experience it is better to give the entire job to one cotractor after signing a contract in stamp paper. Other wise we will be compelled to search for many workers at many stage. It will delay the work&with this delay prices of everything will go up..
