Stephen Hawking wrote about his concerns over unequal divide of wealth
He warns if not tackled, he was pessimistic about our species' future
But physicist Stephen Hawking now fears greed could be the undoing of the human race.
The University of Cambridge professor has warned that the unequal divide of wealth between individuals and countries is one of the most divisive issues of our time.
He claims envy and isolationism is being bred by the way money is currently shared and this may have contributed to the result of the European Union Brexit referendum result in Britain.

Professor Stephen Hawking warned that humanity faces an uncertain future as technology learns to think for itself and adapt to its environment.
Speaking at event in London, the physicist told the BBC: 'The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.'
This echoes claims he made earlier in the year when he said success in creating AI 'would be the biggest event in human history, [but] unfortunately, it might also be the last.'
