Rich and Colorful Bohemian Wedding Inspiration
 01 Sep 2014
Since this wonderful submission came in I've been so looking forward to sharing its earthy, rich and colorful bohemian wedding inspiration with you. And hooray, the day is finally here! Photographer Julie of Julie Roberts Photographic Artist, and the fantastic array of talented vendors who helped put this shoot together, truly did an amazing job of creating such beautiful earthy boho inspiration.
Blending vibrant tangerines with rich pomegranates in this lovely outdoor space at Blackfish Bison Farm combined with an adorable flower girl and one fabulous naked cake proved to be the perfect combination of organic boho lovely, don't you think? And hello lovely separates with the bride model's two piece bridal look from White Orchid Bridal. I'm really loving this trend!

From the photographer::
Our vivid color palette began with the use of pomegranates and tangerines in the table scape. From there, rich jewel tones of magenta, orange, and pops of turquoise painted the scene. And a luscious floral assortment of roses, ranunculous, berries, eucalyptus, moss, and a variety of foliage as a centerpiece gave the table life with.
From my own personal collection, each place setting was layered with touches of gold to give our earthy setting a touch of heightened elegance. Be True Designs created place cards and menus that pulled together our lavish combination of colors and patterns.
Upon visiting our location, Blackfish Bison Farm in Winchester, I was enchanted by the stone wall that lines the property. Although not originally a part of our inspiration, I knew I had to incorporate it into our shoot. Dry stone walls like this are native to Kentucky and beautifully represent the history of our agricultural landscape. Our decadent cake provided by Tinker's Cake Shop could not have been a more perfect fit. I asked Cameron for something playful but natural, colorful but earthy. And the results were this rustic "naked" cake adorned with berries and rosemary. Placed on a bed of moss atop a vintage barrel … what an adorable and delicious display!
The bridal gown, beaded head piece, earrings, and feather belt were provided by Colleen of White Orchid Bridal. I knew this one-of-a-kind vintage dress was a perfect fit for our shoot because of the simple silhouette and flowing fabric. The loose sleeves and front panel edged in lace give the dress an unmistakable bohemian feel. The full skirt just begged to be twirled in … so of course there was twirling! Our flower girl wore a gorgeous little dress from Monsoon that had an ivory skirt and a gold lace bodice. Both our bride and flower girl wore a crown of flowers which is the sweetest current trend in weddings and was perfect for our earthy-boho look.
