Mount Erebus – the second largest volcano in Antarctica, active since 1972. Erebus on many ice towers formed by vapor emissions from volcanic activity. Many ice tower constantly emit steam. In addition to these pillars like chimney volcanic mountain is home to a variety of ice caves, formed in a natural way, with blue, eerily cavernous underground chambers.

Banaue Rice Terraces – 2000 year old terraces that were carved into the mountain in the Philippines Ifugao ancestors of the indigenous population. Terraces are commonly referred to Filipinos as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” It is believed that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. They are located approximately 1500 meters above sea level and covers 10.360 square kilometers of mountainside. Tent Rocks Kasha-Katuve in New Mexico was formed about seven million years ago as a result of ash deposited pyroclastic flow from a volcanic explosion. As with most rock formations, weathering and erosion can be attributed to the creation of remarkable geographical area. Considerably sharpened like tents stones get their interesting name from the native language of the region, and means “white cliffs”. Rocks vary in height, sometimes reaching 30 meters in height.

Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is the remains of an ancient rock fortress and palace, located in the central district of Matale Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescos), which are reminiscent of Ajanta caves in India. Sigiriya was built during the reign of King Kassapa I (477 BC. E. – 495), and it is – one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. During prehistoric times Sigiriya was settled. Used as a mountain monastery from about the 5th century BC

One of the most popular little-known wonders of the world, the cave Lechuga – another location that was found in New Mexico. Cave – Seventh studied range in the world, with a known length of 134.6 miles. Cave is the most famous spectacular crystalline formation of gypsum and aragonite. Prior to the discovery in 1986 Lechuga was untouched for hundreds of millions of years, being one of the most ancient ecosystems.

Krubera cave located within the Massif Arabica in Abkhazia, the deepest known cave in the world, with a depth of 2.191 meters. The cave is also known as Crow, due to the number of nesting crows.

Valley of Flowers National Park in India – one of the most beautiful wonders of the world in this list. There is something incredible in the high peaks, rising into the clouds and steep slopes covered with lush vegetation completely and unique flora. Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal includes descending the spiral staircase that leads to a variety of outputs. Name came from the belief that the site was home to the Masonic rituals. At the bottom is a wind rose on the cross Templar. Symbolism directly concerns the life and death, a common theme for the rituals of initiation.

Go to more than three thousand of huge sandstone pillars, many of which represent a tower of more than two hundred meters in height – is Wulingyuan in China. He is one of the most stunning natural sites in the world. High pillars are made of quartzite and sandstone are karst formations. Incredible region is in one hundred and seventy miles north-east of Changsha and became a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992, but it is still relatively unknown most of the population in the world.

Monastery Key or Key Gompa – Tibetan Buddhist monastery, which effectively stands on a hill overlooking a small Indian village Kibar. The monastery stands at an altitude of 13.668 feet above sea level, and the village below, as they say, is the highest in India. Founded in the 11th century, the Monastery Key Gompa experienced many turbulent events. He has been repeatedly attacked, ruining Mongol armies devastated by fires and earthquakes. Permanent destruction and reconstruction resulted in a form of a building is like a box for maximum protection.
