Re: [www.keralites.net] Retired People

OLD AGE CARE HOME.

We see retired people are abused very often for money, gold and property by own and outsider. I would like to share my view of a 'Old Age CARE HOME'  for the people who are not safe at home alone when the dependents are on work.

Facilities. 1. Collect them from home before the dependents leave for job. 2. Take care of them with food and medical care and resting room. 3. Accommodate them when the children go on holy day. 4. Provide all the facilities with Doctors care.

Take a deposit and a monthly charge for taking care of them.

Advantage. We have people of same age group to talk and spent with. We feel comfortable and safe with people around. We are not separated from the children. They too have freedom to move around without fear of their parents.

Increasing gold price makes things more unsafe and dangerous to middle class and above. Please note, even if you are careful, outsider need not feel the same.

To have this facility in Bombay, we need to get a government property and grand to make it. And a society to make and run the system. Hope all will share their views on this.

From the Association of Retired People

Q: Where can men over the age of 60 find younger women who are interested in them?
A: Try a bookstore under fiction.
Q: What can a man do while his wife is going through menopause? A: Keep busy. If you're handy with tools, you can finish the basement. When you're done you'll have a place to live.
Q: How can you increase the heart rate of your 60-plus year old husband? A: Tell him you're pregnant.
Q: How can you avoid that terrible curse of the elderly wrinkles? A: Take off your glasses.
Q: Why should 60-plus year old people use valet parking? A: Valets don't forget where they park your car.
Q: Is it common for 60-plus year olds to have problems with short term memory storage? A: Storing memory is not a problem, Retrieving it is the problem.
Q: As people age, do they sleep more soundly? A: Yes, but usually in the afternoon.
Q Where should 60-plus year olds look for eye glasses? A: On their foreheads.
Q: What is the most common remark made by 60-plus year olds when they enter antique stores? A: "Gosh, I remember these!"
So all ye retirees, if you still have your sense of humor... Smile!
