Dear Bhama The ayilam is a small village at Kottai panchayath west of Palakkad town. It is near to chembai  & ayyappankavu village. From palakka Jn railway station around 18.3 km distance to there (you can say Kottayi police station or ayyappankavu temple is nearby.) you can go through palakkad - melmuri kottayi road or through palakkad -ponnani road.
