Yes Mr.Gangadharan Nair, you are right.Perhaps blind ones may treat others as blind . Regarding strike, just one current instance would be enough. The employeers of a prestigious industry, viz., Bombardier Transportation, Savli, Vadodara in Gujarat have been on STRIKE since 3rd June 2013. Further, few months back, there was long strike by the employees of the renowned Motor Car make G.M. Motors at Halol, Gujarat. Of course, there is a difference. In Gujarat, the administration would always side with the employers and resort to heavy arm tactics to supress the just voice of workmen whereas in Kerala, no Government can even think of such harsh action. Bad roads and potholes are there in every State and it is not a problem of Kerala alone. Even the roads in a metropolitan city like Mumbai are not free from bad/pothole-free roads as have been highlighted by the Media recently.

Anyone is absolutely free to 'hero-worship' anyone else, but that does not mean that one should curse his/her own birth State and its people/leaders.

Mr. Augustine Jose, are you blind or scared of light otherwise you must be an arm chair critic who just refuses to accept the realities from your veranda. You got to correct your statement. There were hartals and strikes in Gujarat, that was 12 years back. Those strikes and social problems have created or produced a Giant Revolutionary Social Worker Ms MEDHA PADKAR. Now she is NO more in Gujarat because there is no more cause for her to act. Everything is PEACEFUL PROGRESSIVE there in Gujarat under Mr. Narendra Modi's leadership. Now she goes around every where in India except Gujarat. One more point I want to stress here is that Dr. George is NOT an uneducated senseless person. He was leading a group Keralites (I mean educated people like you and me) with more than average common sense to under stand and evaluate the visit to Gujarat and more over there visit was not like we visit a zoo, They have gone there with certain definite purpose and he has revealed it in his report. Only a blind man can deny all these things.

Any way what ever you or the whole world may say, I want my Kerala amd my INDIA to be developed like Gujarat for that I will do everything including helping to work for Mr. Narendra Modi. It is my PLEDGE.

I have read the article of Dr.George, the comments of Mr.Gangadharan Nair Mr.Mathew carefully and with utmost interest. I fully agree with Mr.Mathew's views. it is a curse of our state that the Left parties have strong hold than the ruling UDF. I have travelled length and breadth of India many times including GCC countries. Have seen multi nationalites, worked with them etc. Never seen this harthal, bandh, dharna etc in any other state other than our Kerala. It is high time that, we all keralites to unite and dismiss this left party from the state for ever. Otherwise, our state will never progress and worsen day by day. No industrialiest are ready to invest in Kerala why ? new industries are going to other states why ? What is not there in our Kerala ? No natural resources, no skilled man power ? but main lacking is the support from the government and strong objection from the leftists. How can one industry come up here and set up a business without fear ?
One state, 2 parties, one ruling and one opposition. What do we have today ?
I am not taking any individual and his/her credibility, but whatever progress taken place or being taking place the government and the people are responsible for. Yes, I did visit Gujarat (Ahmedabad) last October. No power cut, lots of greenery in most of the road sides. If this greenery in our state, first they try to chop the trees for political gain.
See, today's harthal ? for what ? who has lost, who has gained and what ? is it necessary putting common man in trouble ? who will bear the loss caused to the civilians and the damage made to public property ?

Kerala people are living on money coming from Gulf and West Bengal living on money earned from Kerala. If any thing happens to the flow of Gulf money, these two states will starve. That is the reason, Nikhakhat was a big issue in Kerala when no other state was least bothered about it.
Today is the second day I am confined at home due to hartal, Gujarat does not any hartal to hamper its progress.
So bury the leftists not to be resurrected again, Kerala will progress more than any other state, with its intelligent and educated work force.

Very interesting article by Dr. MC Gearge, Advocate from Muvattupuzha, who has visited Gujarat with few farmers from Kerala. He recommends that every progressive politician from Kerala should visit Gujarat and ascertain by himself that what Gujarat Government with Narendra Mody's leadership doing there. He is creating miracles there.

Chicken Cutlet

Yummy Crisp on the outside soft on the inside Cutlets.mmm....

Ingredients:

Cubed Boneless Chicken Breast - 1 cup (I had kept aside the breasts of a 1 Kg Chicken aside)
Potatoes - 3 nos Fist sized
Onion - 1 small chopped finely
Green Chillies - 2 Nos Chopped finely
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp or more if you like it
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper Jeera Powder 1/2 tsp
1 tsp salt
Juice of one lemon.
Chopped Corriander Leaves - 2-3 tbsp.
Oil as reqd.
Egg 1 Nos beated lightly.
Large Bread slices 4 nos - process to crumbs.

Procedure:

Cook potatoes till soft. drain well. Mash to paste. Meanwhile cook chicken pieces with turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste and water to cover. Let the water evaporate. When cool enough to handle, crumble with your fingers. You can use a fork, but I found this easier and more uniform.

Sautee the chopped onions and green chillies in a tsp of oil till onion is soft. Add to chicken. Add all the other spices. Add the mashed potato, corriander leaves and mix till well combined. Check for salt and spice level. Add 1/2 cup of bread crumbs if the mixture seems too wet for you to make into balls.

While it is warm itself, shape into flat circles or ovals as per your wish. Dip in beaten eggs then coat with bread crumbs pressing lightly to cover well with the crumbs.

Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry two or three at a time to a golden brown color.

The Bread Crumbs were just enough for coating the cutlets. There were about 2 tsps of beaten egg left over. I mixed the bread crumbs which fell away from the cutlets , made into a ball and fried it.
