Subject: Fwd: Nitish Bharti, the World Renowned Sand Artist
I don't know how many of you have heard of or seen the videos of the amazing art work of world-famous Indian "sand animation artist," Nitish Bharti. He is not only an artist but he is also a story teller, so to speak. He tells stories vis his art work. He tells stories by creating art work by using just his fingers – no tools! Millions of people all over the world, including USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Vietnam, Cambodia and just about everywhere else have watched the videos of his artwork. Nitish has also been on a number of TV shows, including "India Has Got Talent."

Ever since he was a child, he was tied to the world of art and he experimented with drawing, painting, canvassing etc. But, then he tried his hand at drawing in the sand he got "addicted" to sand art! After some time, he figured that there was no better medium than sand to tell his stories in a creative way.

In his words he puts it this way "As a child, I was mesmerized by sand and used to draw on pictures on the sand and one day during the high tide a wave lashed and wiped everything. This fascinated me and gradually, I started drawing quickly before the wave could come and wipe off everything. I use to stand and watch until my drawing completely disappeared, realizing that everything is temporary and provisional."

At one time he was a "lecturer" and used to conduct classes in art work but deep inside his heart he loved art so much he decided to listen to his heart and, with full support from his mother, he decided to take up sand art as his full time profession. He says art is all about communication so he uses this unique medium, if you will, to not only do art work but also to convey his message to his audience. In his presentations he uses sand, music and light as the media to portray his stories. His remarkable and amazing talent has enabled him to perform all over India and abroad. He has won the hearts of his audience by his work.

Through his unique artistry he communicates religious, civic, cultural, and even business messages. His art work also entertains his audiences in some ways. He makes his presentations in both English and Hindi and he always captivates his audience both with the innovative medium and his fast-paced creations. With movements of his hands and fingers and accompanied by music he transforms sand particles into stunning images that convey a visual story. Not only does his story telling via his sand art work entertain people but it also makes them emotional

What a uniquely gifted artist!
