What Happened to the Real You?

When a man puts a limit on what he can be, he puts a limit on what he will be.

In the beginning God created man. He took a little of Himself so Adam would be like Him and could share in in His life.

But the life God intended for His children was destroyed by their disobedience;

satan's deception, and the their sins destroyed their relationship with God.

Satan came into our lives to minimize, nullify, and destroy our potential and our relationship with God.

Throughout the years the devil (satan) has succeeded in convincing us that we are worthless, rotten, incapable people.

But in the fullness of time Jesus came into this world to address this very problem......

'The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.' [1 John 3:8]

The deceiver [satan/devil] also distorted man's self concept. He said to them, 'Look at you. You are naked.'

The Bible says that Adam and Eve knew they were naked [Genesis 3:7].

Knew means they 'became physically – or sensually – aware.' Their senses took on leadership.

The soul became alive without the Spirits direction. Man began to live from the outside, instead of the inside.

Man became aware of his nakedness and tried to cover up their bodies.

Ever since that day we have become 'Professional cover ups' 

Yuk! I don't like how skinny I am....how fat I am....I don't like.... the colour of my skin.... the colour of my hair, etc.

WHEN MAN LOST HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, HE BECAME A VICTIM OF EDUCATION. HE BEGAN TO LOOK TO BOOKS, MOVIES,

[TODAYS TECHNOLOGY], AND THE WORDS OF OTHERS – WHAT WE CAN HEAR, TASTE, FEEL AND TOUCH TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE. 

But Jesus came to destroy satan's lies.

He came to free us from those things that retard, distort and short circuit what we are capable of.

'I am come that they might have life, and have it abundantly.' [John 10:10]

In the Greek the same word used for abundance as is used for fountain....

'Whoever believes in Me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.' [John 7:38]

In [John  4:14] we read...

'.....whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.

Indeed, the water I give him will become a spring welling up to eternal life.'

When Jesus died for our sins on the cross.....

He destroyed satan's work of convincing us to sin.

He fed the hungry, destroying satan's desire to bring poverty and hunger.

He healed the sick and raised the dead thus destroying satan's goal to bring  misery and chaos.

Jesus will reverse the works of satan in your life today

You only need to ask Him in prayer in your own words.

Speak them out audibly thus affirming your

desire for Jesus to reverse satan's works in your life.

Remember sin clogs our potential.

It messes up the plan God has for each of our lives!
