A newborn duckling (right) has been taken to a rescue centre after her mother and two siblings were reportedly beaten to death with sticks by a group of 12-year-old boys. The duckling, which has now been partnered with an older duckling, was saved by an upset 10-year-old boy following the attack on her family in the Temple Newsam area of Leeds. She is now being looked after by The Wildlife Orphanage in Barlby, North Yorkshire.
