Baba Ramdev - National freedom from obesity campaign takes off ( also at Bangalore, Chennai and many other cities across India) :- Pune: The national freedom from obesity campaign was launched by Patanjali Research Foundation on the occasion of Ram Navami, the day on which Baba Ramdev completed 21 years as a sanyasi, According to the Patanjali Research Foundation, the research programme will be organised in 60 districts of 24 states. Recently, the trust completed a pilot research programme wherein 500 persons participated successfully. The findings showed that participants lost 2.5 to 10 kg weight in five days. The primary report suggested that participants need to practise yoga and follow healthy diet pattern for better results. The trust has announced that participants who will complete this programme and adhere to healthy diet for one year will be able to reduce 20 to 30 kg weight. They will experience drastic reduction in core fatness. Similarly successful participants will be able to control obesity-related diseases like Type-2 diabetes, heart ailments and blood pressure. The trust has also announced that the participants would also be able to control the cravings.
