Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone still 'sees' his dead son - and has had a Hindu ceremony carried out in a holy Indian town to ensure that his departed soul is at peace, it has emerged.
Stallone, 69, reached out to Prateek Mishrapuri - an astrologer who consults many A-listers - during a visit to Los Angeles while trying to find a way to 'speak' to his son, Sage, Mishrapuri revealed.
He told the guru - whom he had first met in 2013 through actress and mutual friend Nicole Kidman - he had been left 'deeply disturbed' after 'seeing' his deceased eldest child, according to Mishrapuri.
Ritual: Sylvester Stallone's half-brother, Michael (far left), is pictured carrying out a 'tithi shradh' ceremony for the actor's eldest son Sage - who died in 2012 - alongside other loved ones in Haridwar, India, last week

Sage, an actor and film director-producer, passed away aged 36 from a heart attack in July 2012.
Although initial reports said he had died from a drug overdose at his California home, a county coroner later confirmed that his cause of death was atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.
During his meeting with Mishrapuri, Stallone was visibly agitated about his son, the astrologer said.

Mishrapuri said he told the Rocky actor that a 'tithi shradh' ceremony could help him out.
Stallone 'confessed that he had seen his son and that he was deeply disturbed,' Mishrapuri told The Times of India in an interview this week. '[He] asked if it is possible to speak to his son.
'I told him it is possible, but it would be very painful for Sage's soul.'
Family: Stallone, 69, reportedly reached out to Mishrapuri during a recent visit to Los Angeles, California, while attempting to find a way to 'speak' to Sage (pictured with Stallone and his grandmother, Jackie, in 1994)
Starring together: Sage appeared alongside his internationally-famous father in the Rocky series in 1990
Mishrapuri said he told Stallone about how the Hindu ritual of shradh ensures that departed souls that met a tragic end, like an accident or murder, and may not be at peace are in a better place.
'After checking with the Panchang (sacred calendar), I told him of the date and time when the rituals should be done,' Mishrapuri said, adding the actor decided to carry out the holy ceremony for Sage.
Although Stallone planned to visit the holy town of Haridwar himself, he could not make it - and instead, asked his half-brother to perform the ritual, which has to be carried out by blood relatives.
Joined by his wife, Michelle, and other loved ones, Stallone's half-sibling, Michael, was pictured performing the shradh of Sage on Sunday, while dressed in a white T-shirt and blue shorts.

Having fun: Stallone portrays Rocky Balboa, while his son depicts Rocky Balboa Jr, in the 1990 film, Rocky V
After the Kankhal ceremony was over, they all returned home to Philadelphia, NDTV reports.
The shradh ritual sees Hindus pay homage to the deceased during the month of Ashwin (which is between September and October), according to the International Business Times.
They do so mostly through food offerings, including the favourite food items of the dead.
Stallone's reported 'sightings' of his deceased son are reminiscent of 'The Sixth Sense' film character, Cole Sear (played by Haley Joel Osment), who sees dead people in his daily life.

He was a former student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
He married actress Starlin Wright in 2007 before the pair got an annulment the following year.
Sage is believed to have been engaged at the time of his death on July 13, 2012.
