What Conditions Make for a Happy Relationship? When we're young, we think that relationships are terribly easy. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after.  Those of us with some years of experience though, hear this fantasy and laugh. We laugh because a real relationship is a complicated thing that requires a lot of constant work, understanding, empathy and patience. So what do happy couples do that unhappy couples don't?
