    Can we say A Date with Death!!!!!

 

 

If Death knocked at our door tonight, would we go

with him, or like the Yank at Oxford would we say,'Sorry mate, 

I have another date to night. Come another time.'

Few of us could keep a date with Death without hesitation.

I saw all the 29 Photos........ Playing with Death.

 

Charles Frohman, American Theatre Manager, kept the appointment

when the LUSITANIA was struck by a German Torpedo on the Irish

Coast. Immediately after the attack there was panic and rush to the life boats.

Frohman,who had often directed death-scenes on the stage, now directed

the final scene of his life with the same skill and calm.

His companions were Rita Jolivet, an English  Actress, George Vernon and

Captain scott. They clasped hands courageously. 'Why fear Death?' Said Frohman,

as if repeating the words of play wright. ' It is the most beautiful adventure

of Life!'

Each of them repeated the words in turn,while,beneath them, the liner

lurched and sunk.

Miss Jlivet was rescued to tell the tale. She hadn't a date with Death!!

 

As Adversity leads us to think properly, it is most beneficial to us..
