To me, fashion is art.
I know a lot of people don't feel this way, and that's okay. I don't have a passion for bowling as a sport and I'm definitely not a fan of body building and the culture that goes with it. To each his or her own, right?
But if you're like me, I'm sure you'll agree that creating a "look" is very similar to the way a painter chooses their palette. Art comes from a feeling. One day the artist may feel happy and therefore paint a lively field filled with wild flowers and sunny colors. The next day the artist may be feeling blue, and their art will reflect that mood as well.
The same goes for fashion. And this moody ghost town fashion shoot shows that point fabulously. To create the look, Liz Anne Photography and model Katherine Chavez put together a style of feminine fabrics with masculine items as well. The contrast of the pretty white dress and lace shorts with the grungy camouflage jacket and run down location created the perfect vibe they were going for.
Personally, I think these fashion artists painted their canvas beautifully.
