Parents' perspective over a period of time:

Age 20 - Concentrate on studies, No girlfriend.

 

Age 25 - Buy a house on EMI, you have to get ready for an arranged marriage. No girlfriend please.

Age 27 - Arranged marriage time, decide within 5 days. Don't be too ambitious. Have realistic expectations. Get married to the first girl or the next girl we recommend.

Age 29 - Every day you waste will make it tougher and tougher for you to get married. Marry this trespasser, marry your neighbour.

Age 31 - Marry any girl, any caste is fine as far as she is from the same religion. Love marriage is totally OK.

Age 32 - Marry any girl, any religion, we don't care.

Age 33 - Marry anyone, as far as it's a GIRL, we are fine!
