I am against the views.

In a democratic country, the parliament/ assemblies is/ are to make the laws and the courts are to interpret it. In parliament/ assemblies, bills are put up and passed on the vote of majority. So it is considered as the opinion of the majority and if the bill is not against any of the existing one, the president set his hands and the bill become law. They need to be honored as the opinion of the nation.

COURTS ARE NOT FOR MAKING LAWS. They are only to interpret it. In recent years, it is observed that many of the courts violate this

Moreover, in our independence movement itself we can find a lot of 'criminal activities'. They were on public interest. So, the term 'criminal activity' itself need to be defined.

So, I feel the main consideration should be that, an offence need to be evaluated on the basis whether it is on individual interest (or gain) or on public interest.
