Angel of sea-Glaucus atlanticus. This beautiful marine organism is called blue dragon, sea swallow, blue glaucus, blue ocean slug and even Blue Angel. Glaucus atlanticus is pelagic, and its habitat is warm tropical waters of world’s oceans â€" the East and South Coast of South Africa, European waters, the east coast of Australia and Mozambique. In nature there is a beautiful Glaucus atlanticus, these species float upside down on the surface tension of the ocean. Blue Angel can be dangerously poisonous to protect themselves. Glaucus is a hermaphrodite, containing both male and female reproductive organs. Unlike most nudibranchs, which mate with their right sides facing, sea swallows mate with ventral sides facing. After mating, both animals produce egg strings.
