Saudi female cashiers will start work in 'Danube', Riyadh this week

Six Saudi women will start work as cashiers in 'Danube' Hypermarket in Riyadh this week after undergoing the required training.

A source associated with the hypermarket acknowledged that this position did not require a college degree in accounting. A high school diploma or an experience certificate was enough to qualify them for the job.

The Danube store management have fixed a salary of 4,000 SR for female cashiers in addition to social security and health insurance, akhbaar24.com reported.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has asked the store management to build a special barrier around the female cashier to isolate her from men, according to terms of the Labor Ministry.
