Re: [www.keralites.net] passport fees

Hi, Hello,

Please express your opinions and do protest. At the same time do not think in isolation. Think of the country also.

You are talking of Global tariffs but you will concede that you are just having same type of Tariff for everything.

Have you protested against such Tariffs.  The land and house prices have gone up considerably, have you

protested.  Prices of Daily Necessities have gone up sky high and have you protested.

As for the Emergency, it was forced upon the then Govt. because of call to certain vital agencies to revolt which no

Govt. in Power will brush aside.  More or less the same is happening today.

You are blaming the Politician but who accepted such a Constitution giving a big role to the Politicians.

We.  If I am talking like a Politician, you are talking like a Communist or a Trade Union Leader. (for your information

(Communism is almost finished)

There are two sides to a coin.  If you are one side I am the other.  I do not think I behave like a person who knows

the best.  On the contrary I have no shame in stating that I know nothing!!!!!!

Hello there,

yes, we are fussy....you are absolutely right.....BUT,  what is wrong in that ? After all, this is our own country, agree ?

After all, it is natural that, we complain about our problems  to our parents, at the comforts of our own home  and not to our neighbours' parents,  right ? Just because that we Indians,  are tolerant abroad, does not mean that we need to be struggling and suffering for all foolishness and callous attitudes and regulations brought about by some politicians at our own home turf !

Or does the post imply that , just because US or KSA or some other country is charging a non-refundable charges for visas, we should  pay more or equivalent in our country ? Really the  wordings in the post sounds like of a politician......Who always thinks and feels that only "he knows the best".. ...

What exactly you expect Indians to do ? To start a "rebellion" or "revolution" against the fees for visas or iqamas or permits abroad ? If we Indians cannot show our feelings at our own country, where exactly we are supposed to vent our feelings, Boss ? Your post conveys the feeling that we are staying under some "army rule"..Really funny...

Or is it that we are going back to the times of "emergency" where we indian citizens should not express our feelings at all ?

Really puzzling, I would say...

with wishes for a great day ahead.

Hi,, Hello, on what basis is it said that Renewal fee is Rs.500.00.  Are you sure.  Is it correct.

We have always a problem with our Govt.    When UK Govt. charges Rs.26,000/- for a Visa

without even batting an eyelid we give it.  Same is the case with the US Govt who charge Rs.9000/-.

And mind you these are non-refundable when visa is rejected. And there is no appeal.  Why go so far.  Our people have

no qualms in paying exorbitantly for Own Iqama or Resident Permit in countries like Saudi Arabia

but when it comes to our Govt. we make all sorts of fuss.  Thank heavens you at least have recourse to

correcting the wrongs in our Country.  Please appreciate.
