Americans are stunned by her passion and guts to live her life
with her head held high and with same zeal and attitude with which she used to live before the occurrence of this heinous act in her life.
Laxmi is a fighter.
She very well exemplifies that life is not about sitting back and cursing your destiny, life is about fighting so hard that even fate accepts its defeat.
Life is slowly getting better for Laxmi, who has also been praised by the US first lady Michelle Obama. She is in a live-in relationship with an acid attack activist, and hopes for a bright future.

We bow our heads in front of Goddess Durga.
We are on our knees in front of Mother Mary.
But the irony is....
in our society we just can't see women going ahead to men.

INNU CHINGAM 1 Kollavarsham 1191 (17th August, 2016) the day in which Keralites welcome the Ponnona maasam! As per Malayalam Calender the Kolla Varsham begins on August 17 2016. A great significance to the all keralities especially farmers! This is the new year day as per the Malayalam Era ,my favorite month in the Malayalam calender.So many festivals in this month, Krishna Astami, Vinayaka chaturthi, Onam.The first day of Chingam month is welcomed by people of Kerala with special poojas and prayers. Hindus in large numbers visit their near by temples.Today another speciality is "Thiruonam" Naksthram, ideal and auspicious to visit vishnu/Krishna Temples, and for chanting Vishnusahsranamam, and dhruva charitham.

My New Year Wishes to all Keralites! HAPPY NEW YEAR.1192.Let Lord Guruvayur Krishna wishes Health Wealth, Success. and Happiness to all. One more speciality is today 17th Aug 2016, Wednesday is celebrated as Pilleeer Onam or Onam of Children. Pilleronam was usually celebrated 27 days before Thiruvonam in the month of Chingam . This Year Thiru Onam will be coming on 14th September. It was believed that there would be a break of about 10 days from the rains in Karkkidakam month and Pilleronam was celebrated in one of these days. This Onam is celebrated as a mini Onam with a mini-Onasadya.

I am dedicating this post to my parents Especially My Amma.Even though I brought up in, out of Kerala I enjoyed all such traditions and festivals in my child hood days. Thanks a lot, for my wonderful parents who has ignited the value of culture and tradition.

Akshay Kumar is known to be one generous actor who has never shied away from helping out others. He had earlier donated money to Maharashtra drought victims, and now we hear that he has donated Rs 80 lakhs to Army jawans. According to a report in TOI, Akshay recently helped the family of Jawans with a monetary help of Rs 80 lakhs and it only shows the amount of gratitude Akshay has for our soldiers.

When asked about the same, Akshay talked about how they need money along with the medals.

He said, "They are decorated with lot of medals and that is good. But I looked at their faces. The samman was required for them but they need money too. You have to be practical. I thought how about giving them money and that is when I decided to give 5 lakhs to each family."

Akshay who generally refrains from blowing his own trumpet for the charity work he does, further added saying that more people should come forward and continue the noble practice. "Also, I am very glad that they have been noticed by media and they are being recognized. We should continue this practice."
